Annie's POV

The next morning, I woke up at around seven o'clock. I wasn't sure if I should leave Hayley alone, but I needed to find two smooth stones and kindling to make fire. I just decided not to go any farther than where I could see her. I gathered two smooth stones, dry leaves, and dry sticks. I grabbed some other stones to make a campfire circle with. I had been rubbing the stones together for a few minutes, with no success, when I remembered that I had brought a lighter! I grabbed that and lit the fire. I got really warm immediately, since I was previously freezing. I pulled Hayley over and leaned her head on my shoulder. We were sitting there for a silent few minutes, when she woke up.

I think she forgot where we were for a second, since she looked confused. Then, her face changed into a frown, then neutral. We sat there and talked for a while, then we remembered we needed breakfast.

"Hayley, I think we should look for something to eat first, so we save our food," I suggested.

"No. We should eat what we have now. It's better food," Hay Hay argued.

We continued to argue, but Hayley was too hungry, so she gave up fighting me. We got up, put on our backpacks, and walked around for a while. We spotted a river. We looked in it, and then put our hands in. It was overrun with fish! So overrun, that we could put a hand in and pull out a fish! So we built another fire, and yes, we put out the other one, and we cooked the fish. I think it was cod because it was tasteless, but it was pretty filling. After we ate, we got changed, and we set out walking though the forest.

Katie's POV

I woke up in my bedroom, but on the floor. I was a bit confused, since my bed was neatly made. I walked down the stairs, while calling Annie and Hayley. No reply. I stopped. I ran back upstairs, worriedly calling for them. I checked all around the house, stopping at the kitchen. Five cans on the counter. Oh no. I ran outside to my car, to check the recent destinations on the GPS. Nothing. I checked my phone, nothing. I tried hard to remember where I left them, nothing. Oh god, please say they're safe!!!!
