Allie's POV
Remember that guy Tyler who slid into my DMs while we were in Florida? I've talked to him quite a bit and he's a really nice guy. I've got a date with him tonight and my roommate Quinn is going to help me get ready.
"Okay, first off. You need a cute outfit. Do you know where you're going?" She asked, tucking a piece of dark brown hair behind her ear.
"The movies," I smiled.
"Okay, so I don't think you need to be too fancy. Maybe a pair of nice skinny jeans and a cute sweater," Quinn suggested.
"And Uggs," I said.
"Perfect!" Quinn squealed.
She started pulling things out of my closet for me to try on. After many different sweaters and different pairs of jeans, we decided on lightwash jeans with a gray, pale pink, and white colorblock sweater. I wore a tan pair of Uggs.
"Now, for makeup. I think we should do something natural. How does just foundation, concealer, blush, and mascara sound?" Quinn asked.
"Nice, but maybe we could do my brows?" I asked.
"Honey, they look perfectly fine," Quinn said.
I sat down on a chair and Quinn got to work. She's a professional makeup artist for commercials, print ads, and other things like that, so I trust her more than I do myself, and I don't think I'm too bad at makeup.
She was finished a few minutes later, and she put my hair in a messy bun.
"You're ready! Good luck!" Quinn smiled, handing me my purse.
"Thanks! Bye!" I said, stepping out the door.
I drove to the movie theater and parked nearby. I stepped inside the theater. Tyler texted me saying he was in line to buy tickets, and I just had to find him in the line. I spotted him fairly easily. He's kind of tall. I walked up next to him.
"Hey Allie!" He smiled.
"Hey!" I replied.
We had a short conversation before we made it up to the counter. He bought my ticket, which was nice. I thanked him, but he said it wasn't necessary.
He bought us popcorn and sodas, and we headed into the movie.
...
After the movie, which was really good, he took me out to dinner at a pretty nice restaurant. He's twenty-two, so he could buy himself a drink. He ordered himself a glass of wine.
"Do you want anything?" He asked me.
"Oh, I can't drink," I responded.
"Oh right, you're only twenty," he remembered.
I sighed. I whispered to hi, "Uhh, yeah, also, I don't want to ruin the whole dinner, but I also can't drink because I'm pregnant. I don't know who the father is. I was at a party, and my friend was supposed to not let me get anything more than tipsy, but I lost where she was, and her phone died, and—"
He put a hand on my shoulder, "Hey, don't worry about it. We can cross that bridge when we get to it."
I couldn't do anything but smile. He was really nice about it. I almost wanted to cry.
After we ate dinner, which was really delicious, we sat outside on a bench. It was freezing cold since it's January, but neither of us minded. We sat in silence.
I leaned my head on his shoulder. He wrapped his arm around me. I closed my eyes and smiled. I could sense him looking at me.
"You're so cute, Allie," He spoke.
I smiled and replied, "Maybe we could do this again sometime?"
"Absolutely."
SKSKSKSKSKSKSKKSKS I loved writing this chapter so much omg.
