"The court has approved it. You may adopt Allie, and her father is in jail," The social worker said.

"Okay. I'll just finish the papers," Katie said as she clicked her pen.

It was two weeks later, and Allie had spent all but one night at the Annapolis Home for Girls. The first night was at the Leblanc's. Katie and Billy did nearly everything in their power to make the girl feel welcome, with all she's been through. Since they did not have any extra beds, Allie slept with Annie and had the best night of her life. In the morning, everyone ate pancakes for breakfast, well, Billy did not because he was with Ginger-May during the night. After the delectable breakfast, everyone got in the car and drove to go visit Ginger. She had emergency surgery to replace her pacemaker, since the previous one was beyond repair.

Sadly, two days after the girls were found, the Leblanc's foster girls were taken away from them, and Katie and Billy were very sad. Madison and Charlie especially were very sad, having to start all over again. Katie and Billy loved those girls with their whole hearts even though they barely knew them. The girls went on to a new foster home, and were adopted by the family a month later.

As for Allie, she will be in a sequel coming soon called 'Memories, I Guess...', which is included in this book.
