Bye, I Guess... (Sequel and Third Book Included!)

Brooke's POV

Annie and Hayley had just finished telling me the story about them in the woods, when my dad came upstairs from the basement.

"Who's this?" He asked.

"My friends. Also, they need a ride to their house in Maryland if possible," I pushed, hoping it would work.

"Maybe. But how'd they get here?" He asked.

Before I could open my mouth, Annie explained...ish.

"Well, we went camping in southern Virginia and we had a separate tent, and our parents accidentally forgot us. We started walking north towards Maryland, and I think our parents came back to look for us, but we had moved by then," Annie lied.

I don't understand how my dad would believe the camping part, but he did.

"Um, ok. I guess we can head in the car, but I need the address," My dad said.

We got in the car, squished because it's a five seater, and dad loaded up the GPS.

"Okay, give me your address," He said.

"319 Bowline Court, Severna Park, Maryland," Hayley said.

"Thanks!" He said as he entered the address.

We started driving and talking. I let Annie and Hayley log into their Instagram accounts on my phone so they could post for their followers, then the same with snapchat.

Hayley's POV

When we arrived, mom wasn't wasn't home. We knocked on the door and heard no response. We turned around, but Brooke's dad had already driven away.

"Hey Annie! Remember our hidden key?" I asked.

"Oh yeah! Let's go get it," She said.

We went over to the deck and pulled the key out from under the stairs. We went back around the front, and opened the door. We stepped inside. No bottles on the floor, and we even looked in the fridge. There wasn't any beer, or even even any kind of alcohol. Great! Mom stopped drinking, realizing what she did.

Since we were home, we let the dogs out of their crates, and they jumped on us because they were so happy to see us. Annie and I laughed and played for a little bit, then Annie and I went upstairs to shower and change. We put on our favorite outfits, then washed our other clothes that we had worn for the time we were gone, then we made an oven pizza. We had missed these SOOO much! We devoured the whole thing, me having three slices, and Annie with the remaining five. Then, we plugged in our phones, which had died in the time we had been gone. Mine turned on first, so we tried to call mom, but she didn't answer.
