Twenty-One

"Hey Allie, do you wanna go do open gym with me?" Annie asked.

"Yeah!" Allie replied. "Can I wear one of your leos?"

"Sure, I'll go get one," Annie smiled, walking to her closet to pull out her box of old clothes.

She lifted off the lid and pulled out the leotards that would most likely fit Allie.

"Pick one, and I think the matching scrunchies are in here too if you want them," Annie said.

Allie looked at a few, deciding on a blue and white one. She ran back to her room and put on the gymnastics leotard with black leggings, then put on sneakers and a jacket. Once Annie was ready, she drove herself and Allie to 1st Class Gymnastics.

Once arriving at the gym, they paid and entered the gym, putting their shoes in Annie's locker. They went over to the trampolines to warmup.

Annie did a few jumps on one trampoline and then did some front and back twisting into the pit. Allie did some jumps and tried some front handsprings on the trampoline, falling on most of them. After Annie was warmed up, she spotted Allie on some back handsprings and backtucks on the trampoline. Well, she actually flipped Allie. All Allie had to do was keep her arms straight in the back handspring and jump into the backtuck.

Next, the girls went to beam. Annie worked on some standing half's on the low beam and roundoff double backtuck dismounts on the high beam. Allie tried some handstands and cartwheels on the low beam. Annie gave Allie some tips when her little sister started working on turns on the beam.

They skipped vault and went to bars. Allie could do a pullover and a back hip circle. Annie didn't have her grips with her, so she worked as Allie's "coach". Allie wanted to do what she called "handstands on the bar". She meant a cast to handstand. Annie told her to keep her arms and leg straight. Annie lifted Allie as she kept her legs and arms straight. Once reaching a handstand, Allie giggled. This was so much fun for her.
