Sapphire POV

I opened my eyes and jumped out of my bed. I went to Abbie's room and tickled her until she woke up.

"Stop it Sapphy!" She whined, trying to hit me.

"We're four!" I shouted as Luca came into the room.

"We are?" He said sleepily.

"Yup!" Abbie smiled.

"Let's go wake up mommy!" I said.

We put on socks and tip toed into mommy and daddy's room. They weren't there.

"We should go check downstairs," Luca said.

We looked around the corner and it was dark. I shushed my siblings and we crept down the stairs.

"SURPRISE!" We heard.

The lights turned on and mommy, daddy, Auntie Allie, and Auntie Hayley were there wishing us happy birthday!

We all squealed and I hugged Daddy and mommy and everyone else. They had made us mini pancakes with whipped cream and sprinkles and chocolate chips for breakfast! We sat in our chairs at the table and smiled for a picture before we ate our breakfast. We scarfed down our food really fast and then mommy said we could wear whatever we wanted today, as long as it didn't look too crazy.

We dashed up to our room and chose our favorite clothes. Luca came in my room while I was looking through my shirts.

"Daddy said it's gonna be really hot today," he said.

"Okay, thanks!" I turned around as he left.

I decided to wear a pink and blue shirt and jean shorts with some white sneakers that mommy said are called converse.

I went in the bathroom and brushed my teeth and then went to Abbie's room

I went in the bathroom and brushed my teeth and then went to Abbie's room.

"Should I wear this or is it gonna be too hot?" She held up a glittery white sweater.

"It's gonna be way to hot! Daddy said we should wear tank tops," I told her.

"Should I wear this?" She showed me a sleeveless white shirt with buttons that had a knot at the bottom.

"Definitely!" I nodded my head

"Definitely!" I nodded my head.

"Hey Abbie, Luca, and Sapphire, bring a swimsuit, floaties, and flip flops!" Daddy yelled from downstairs.

I grabbed my blue and pink polka dot tankini and my floaties and flip flops and went downstairs. Mommy and Daddy had a bag with our towels already in it, so I put my stuff in there. Luca and Abbie put their stuff in the bag when they came down.

Once everyone was ready, we got in the car and buckled ourselves in, then we went to the mall.

"We're going in really quick, okay? We're only going to the Disney store and if Abbie and Sapphire don't want anything there, we can go to American girl," mommy told us.

We went to the Disney store and mommy said that we could only get one thing since we had more gifts at home. Luca got a plushie of Mickey Mouse's dog Pluto, and Abbie and I went to American girl. I got a new romper for my bitty baby and Abbie got hers a sundress. We got back in the car and headed to Mimi (grandma) and Didi's (grandpa's) house. We got out the car there and Mimi and Didi gave us hugs and kisses.

"I can't believe they're already four!" Mimi told mommy.

"I can't either," mommy shook her head.

We went inside.

After playing some games, we got to go swimming. We changed into our swimsuits and put on our floaties. We walked down to the dock and sat down, Abbie and I putting our toes in the water. We couldn't go in until mommy got in. Once she got in, Luca jumped straight in without feeling the water.

"It's not that cold!" He started doggy-paddling around.

I got in, and it really wasn't.

"Abbie, join us!" I told her.

"No, I don't really like the water," she said.

"Okay then," I tried to shrug and the chased Luca in the water.

About 30 minutes later, we had to get out and dry off.

We each had a small cake and mine was vanilla cake with light blue icing, Luca's was chocolate with green icing, and Abbie's was chocolate cake with purple icing.

They each had our name and four candles on them.

They sang happy birthday to us and mommy filmed us with her camera.

"Make a wish and blow out your candles," Daddy said.

I wished for a happy life, a doggo, and to get my back handspring soon.

"What did you wish for, Abbie?" I asked her.

"I wished for a dog," she said.

"I did too!" Luca said.

"You said you wished for a dog, huh?" Daddy asked.

"Yeah," we all said.

"Well. . ," mommy brought in a big red and yellow box. "Open this."

We decided that Abbie could lift up the lid. There was a golden retriever!

"It's a dog!" We all gasped and ran up and petted it.

"You can name it whatever you want," mommy smiled.

"I think we should name it Cookie," I said.

"Butter is better!" Luca argued.

"Avacado!" Abbie shouted.

We started arguing, but we came up with a new name: August, since it was the month we were born.

We loved our dog.
