Twenty-Six (Part 2)

Allie's POV

"There's a huge spider!" Hayley screamed.

"You're joking, right?! I thought something had happened to you!" I rolled my eyes.

"Just come kill it please!" She yelled back.

I started to get up, then Annie yelled, "Gee thanks Hayley, you scared me so much that my water broke!"

"Wait, actually? Are you sure you just didn't pee yourself?" I asked.

"I'm pretty darn sure," she yelled at me.

"Hayley, help get Annie in the car, I'll deal with the spider," I ran out of the room.

"'Kay!" Hayley passed me, running to Annie.

I grabbed a magazine off the coffee table and noticed the spider on the wall. Dang, it was pretty big... and it was moving. I held my breath and hit the spider, killing it. I grabbed a paper towel and cleaned it up. I locked the apartment and hopped into the car with Annie and Hayley.

"Call Hayden," Hayley said.

I called him.

He answered, "Hey, is everything okay?"

"No, Annie's going into labor," I responded.

"Okay, I'll meet you at the hospital," He hung up.

I called mom and dad next. They said they would be there soon.

Once arriving and Annie got a room, these babies were ready to meet the world.

About two hours after waiting outside with Hayley, at 7:48 p.m., Hayden peeked his head outside the room.

"Are you ready to meet your nieces and nephew?" He smiled.

We gasped in awe when we saw them in the room. They were adorable! Annie and Hayden got to hold all of them first. We took pictures of Annie holding all of them at once, and then her holding each individually. We did the same thing for Hayden. I got to hold the oldest first. She was a little light brunette.

Hayden handed her to me and my heart melted. She was a little on the small side, but she was so precious. I smiled at her and she opened her eyes. They were a light blue.

"Annie! She has blue eyes!" I exclaimed, bringing her over to Annie's bed.

"They're so beautiful," she smiled.

Then I got to hold the second one. Katie and Billy both said that he looked like Caleb did when he was born. I never got to meet Caleb, but I'm positively sure he would have been the best brother a girl could have.

The little boy started crying while I was holding him.

"Aww," I gave him to Annie, sad that he hadn't cried when anyone else had held him.

Finally I got to hold the youngest. She had dark brown hair like Annie. She seemed particularly sweet when Hayden held her.

She gave off a vibe that made me feel like she might be sassy and full of personality.

"Now that you know the genders," I looked at Annie, "you guys can pick names, right?"

"Yeah," Hayden smiled.

"From the list, we each picked a name. I did the youngest girl, Hayden did the boy. Allie and Hayley, we want you to pick the oldest girl's name," Annie smiled.

"Really?" Hayley's eyes lit up.

"Yup," Hayden said.

"Well Allie, let's go pick some names!" Hayley laughed.

See what I did? I distracted you from Annie and got you thinking about Hayley :-) Now all you're wondering is what those names could possibly be......
