All of the girls agreed it had been pretty boring in the basement. All they did was sleep and mope around. They had tried to make it fun, but nothing had really worked so far, and now, it's lunch time on the Leblanc's girls third day being kidnapped. They brought the bowl of tasteless Cheerios over to where they were sitting. Skai helped Ginger sit against the wall and they all grabbed a small handful for their lunches. The children ate in near silence and then passed around the bottle of water so everyone could drink some. Then they all took a nap and tried their best to ignore the smell of their bathroom, aka, a bucket. Shortly after falling asleep, they were woken up to a series of ear-splitting screams. Skai opened her eyes to see Allie being held upside down by her ankles, her face bright red, starting to turn purple.

"Let go of her! She's dying!" Skai yelled.

"Do you think I care?" The man says, dropping Allie on her head and walking over to Skai.

He grabbed her wrist and she fought to get out of his grip. This only caused him to make the grip tighter and he found a way to grab her other wrist. He dragged Skai out of the room and shoved her to the ground.

"Tell me what to do again, and I throw you off the roof of this three story house." He said, then punched her in the jaw.

She started crying as he directed her back into the room. She laid down by her twin and sobbed.

"What did he do?" Ginger asked.

"He punched me in the jaw," She said.

"What?" Ginger asked, puzzled.

"He punched me in the jaw," Skai tried to say. Then she realized her jaw must be broken or unhinged, because she couldn't move it, which was why she couldn't be understood.

"I think your jaw is broken," Annie said.

"Yeah no dip," She tried to say, rolling her eyes.

"Uh oh. Daddy's coming!" Allie warned.

He barged into the room.

"Listen up you pipsqueaks," He said, "I need to keep you alive, so don't think I will try to kill you. And also, I need you to follow me," He said, opening the door.

They all got up and headed for the door.

"Wait guys!" Ginger cried, starting to stand up.

She failed, clutching her heart and crying.

"Oh god. Here, I'll just carry you." Annie said, scooping her up.

"Thanks," Ginger-May said.

They walked upstairs and out to the backyard. The children had never been so glad to see the sun.

"Like I said, I'm not going to kill you, unless you scream or anything for help. Don't try anything," He said.

The yard was fenced in, and they could see the mountains in the background. The only thing that was there was for them to do out there was swing on a tree swing. No one really had the energy to, except Allie. She ran over and sat on the swing and swung for a few minutes, then they had to go back inside to the dark, cold basement.

Everyone except Allie realized how much they missed the Leblanc's home. They missed the dogs, trampoline, and nice cozy bed. They missed the river, home cooked meals, and beautiful sunsets. But most of all, they missed seeing their sisters and friends happy and joyful. Skai missed seeing her sister not in pain every single moment. She wished they could go back home.
