"I'm sorry Mrs. Leblanc, but these girls are no longer yours."

Allie Jade is now...
I rolled over and turned it off, picking up my phone.
Today is August 30th, my first day of sixth grade, meaning middle school!
I pulled myself out of bed, made my bed, and headed to Sapphire's room. She told me last night she wanted me to help her pick out a first day of school outfit. When I walked in, she had most of her closet spread out of her bed.
"Okay, what do you think about this?" She held up a pink tee shirt with ruffled sleeves.
"Nah, something with a little more pizzazz, but no ruffles," I shook my head.
She sorted through her pile of shirts, then pulled out a baseball tee. It was mostly white with navy shoulders. On the left side of the chest, there was a little navy heart decal.
"That's nice. Pair it with dark-wash jeans and black converse," I commented, then left the room.
She shouted 'thanks!' down the hallway and I replied with a 'no problem!'.
I walked into my room and grabbed black leggings out of my closet and a grey tee. I put them on and tied a black and red flannel around my waist. I brushed my teeth, washed my face, and put on a little bit of mascara. My parents are fine with my obsession with makeup, but I can't wear it out anywhere. I'm only allowed to wear light mascara unless we're going to a special event. Other than that, I can do whatever I want to my face at home.
I brushed my hair and put it up in two little buns on the top of my head. It's my signature hairstyle. Mom and dad started calling them Abbie Buns, similar to how I used to say Abbie Jacks instead of Apple Jacks.
When I finished, I put on red vans and grabbed my backpack and phone before heading downstairs. Mom was vlogging dad making breakfast. Luca was seated at the table using his phone.
"Good morning Abs! How are you?" Mom asked.
"I'm great," I replied, sitting down across from Luca.
I did my streaks quickly then put my phone away. Sapphire joined us at the table.
Mom and dad talked while putting plates in front of us. We said grace and began to eat our breakfast. We all had scrambled eggs with salt and Monterey Jack cheese, except sapphire didn't have cheese in hers. Dad brought over a bowl of cantaloupe and I took a few pieces with my fork. My siblings did the same.
Soon after we finished breakfast, we got in the car and mom drove us to Angel's house. She got in the back seat next to me.
"Hey! Are you excited?" She asked me.
"Yeah!" I smiled.
Angel was wearing a white shirt, black jeans, and a leather jacket. Her long hair was in a high ponytail.
Everyone continued to talk.
We would have Sapphire's friend Sophie in our carpool, but her older sister goes to the high school a block away, so Sophie walks to school from her sister's parking spot. None of Luca's friends are on our route to school.
Once we arrived at the school, mom hugged us goodbye (in the car of course), then we headed inside, pulling out our schedules.
None of my siblings have any of the same classes, that's what schools do. They try not to put siblings in any of the same classes because of sibling rivalries and things like that. Lunches are done by grade level though, so all of us have A lunch, which is in between third and fourth period.
Angel and I have homeroom and two classes together, history and photography. In our school, we have five core classes and two electives. Our five cores are English, math, history, science, and PE, and my two electives are study hall and photography.
Angel and I found our lockers. We already knew they were supposed to be near our homeroom, and they were directly across the hall from each other. I had a bottom locker and Ang had a top one. After we put our binders and notebooks in there, we closed them and headed into our homeroom. Everyone was sitting at desks talking. We sat down near the back.
After the teacher took attendance and we went around the room and introduced ourselves, the bell rang. We all got up and left for our classes.
