Five months later....
Annie's POV
It's a nice fall day. Hayley and I are walking home from school and we decided to stop at a small convenience store. We bought candy and slurpees, then we paid and left. We were two blocks away from home when I spotted the meanest girl at my school, Martine.
"Hayley, let's go this way," I said while taking Hayley's hand and leading her to the left.
"Is that girl mean to you?" Hayley asked, a little too loudly.
Martine turned her head and smirked.
"There's that little scamp again. What's your name, Julie?" she teased.
Gosh, I hate when people call me that. Martine crossed the street and stood there with her stupid little self.
"You think your better than me. Smarter. Richer. Beautifuller. You won't be in a minute," she said.
"For the record, its 'more beautiful', not 'beautifuller', and what do you mean by 'in a minute'?" I asked.
Martine looked to the street then looked at me.
"You and your sister will be sorry," she said.
She shoved me and Hayley into the street. There was a car about six feet away. Hayley and I screamed. The car swerved and missed us, but there was another car on its tail.
The second car hit us and the world went white.
