Zane was a boy,
Got treated like a toy.
Only feeling welcomed in the shadows,
As he watched them in the light of day,
Through his dark windows.

He started dating a boy,
Thought he wouldn't be treated like a toy.
Thought their love was the greatest thing the world.

Every night,
He has to fight,
To not cry himself to sleep,
Or hug his pillow tight.

It wasn't his fault that his dad was the richest man in the world.
It wasn't his fault that his mother had raven hair.
It wasn't his fault that his older siblings wanted to rule the world.
It wasn't his fault his younger sister couldn't care.
It wasn't his fault that his half brother was never fair.

He never gave up,
Kept moving along.
Hoping that the cruel reality was all a dream,
And he'd soon wake up.

He couldn't fly,
His wings were broke.
So here he is,
Being treated like a joke.
Oh so many times,
In which he would purposely choke.

He didn't want attention,
No not at all,
He just wanted Gene's affection,
But it would soon cause a serious infection.

One night,
Not long ago,
He opened the front door,
And his heart broke.

'Cause right there,
In front of his eye,
Was that boy he loved,
Kissing his ex-girlfriend,
But it wasn't a goodbye.

He ran out the door,
Didn't quite know where he was heading for.

Past everyone he knew,
Yet they all looked at him,
Like he was a loose screw.

Oh they tried so hard,
Just to send him back,
But he was a lost card,
And once he made the choice,
There was no going back.

His mother called his phone,
He regretted answering that call,
With the combined pain of a fake love,
And more than one aching bone,
All along he knew,
He was nothing more than a cheap doll.

His mother couldn't stand
To hear his voice so sad,
And this made his father mad.

So when the time would come,
Which would be soon,
He would tell his son to look at the moon.

Yet even he was too late.

'Cause that boy was ready to meet his fate.

He stood up on the chair,
And let his tears fall.
There was only one thing he didn't understand,
And that was on how any of this was fair.

But he thought it was okay though,
'Cause he'd be free soon,
As he stared at the empty moon.

One foot left the chair,
He did it because he dared.

The small box he placed,
On the floor alone,
Held the one thing he had hoped for.
And he would take it,
And leave that world,
'Cause he didn't want to have to fake it.

When the chair fell, the door was open.
Not a single voice had spoken.

All because,
They knew this was no mistake,
He just wanted to escape his own self hate.

As they brought him down,
His lover nearly drowned,
In the love his ex-girlfriend had found with a frown.

When he got that box,
He felt like an evil fox,
Because he had ended more than one thing that day.

There was a white stick,
A bit wet,
But it was thick.
On it,
He was so terrified by what he saw,
He couldn't commit.

There were signs of life,
With a few words,

"This is what else I'm taking with me world, goodbye.".

On the stick,
In bold words that were thick,
It read one thing,
That would make his heart sick.......

Test result: POSITIVE.
