Zene Oneshots

Universe (Part 1?)

Gene sighed, staring out the teal colored glass window beside him. His control room throne was made of black stone, with the diamond shaped symbol on it.

There were four leaders of the planet; Gene, Zenix, Sasha, and.... Zane....

Gene glanced down at his pearl.... a smaller figure with pale blue complexion, and flowing darker blue hair.... the only thing that stuck out for the most part about pearls, apart from other gems, were their weapons... this pearl used redstone red swords... with the rounded gemstone being placed on his forehead.

Gene was not one for much color... he preferred colors such as white, black, a bit of red here and there, but mainly.... he decided on blue. After all, that was the color of his gemstone..... blue..

The large doors opened, and Zenix walked in, followed by Sasha. At first, Gene found nothing strange, except for the fact that Zane was not with them.... this actually alarmed him.

"Zenix.... Sasha..... where is Zane?" Gene asked.

The two pearls that belonged to Zenix and Sasha made their way to Gene's pearl, standing in a straight line while looking up at their leaders.

The two majors looked downwards, before Zenix spoke up.

"We bring..... terrible news....." Zenix spoke.

"Oh?" Gene raised an eyebrow. "What could be so terrible?"

"A rebellion has begun to rise...." He breathed. "The leader is a Smokey Quartz..... one of Zane's top commanders...."

"A Smokey Quartz?" He repeated. "Answer my question, Zenix. Where. Is. Zane?"

"Zane...... has been shattered."

Gene's eyes widened with disbelief as he dropped his sceptre. It fell to the ground with a loud clatter, causing the three pearls to flinch.

"WHAT!?" He bellowed.

Zenix gulped quietly, while Sasha looked down entirely. She pulled her dark purple veil over her face, pressing her airy violet hands to her chest, where her purple gemstone was located. Zenix glanced over at her, before directing his crimson red eyes back to Gene.

"Zane has been shattered." Zenix repeated. "By the Smokey Quartz."

"Shattered? A Diamond much like ourselves cannot be shattered!" Gene snarled.

"Zane was a Diamond, yes, but he was overcooked." He defended. "We've already discussed this. His blinded eye, shorter height, kinder attitude..... we already...."

"Say nothing more, Zenix." He huffed. "I've already made my mind."

"W-What!?" He gasped.

"What gem warriors remain of Zane's army?" He asked Sasha.

"The entire army remains intact." Sasha responded. "We have had Amethysts bubble Zane's pearl, as well as the rest of the Smokey Quartz until their fate is decided."

"Good." He nodded. "Sasha, you are to take over Zane's command station. Zenix, you are to take command of his army. I will take control of his planet."

"Gene, the Smokey Quartz has started a rebellion, and she has already set up a base on Zane's planet." Zenix interjected.

Gene stared at Zenix for a long moment, before reaching down and snatching up Zenix's pearl.

Zenix's pearl had spiked mahogany hair, crimson eyes, and a bright wine complexion.

Zenix's eyes widened. "What are you.....!?"

"How dare you even think of going against my word!" Gene growled. "All I have to do, is close my palm, and your pearl not only poofs, but he will shatter!!"

Zenix took a step back, glaring intensely.

"The moon of that planet is untouched by gem. It would do nicely for a base." He sighed.

Gene placed the Red Pearl on the floor, before grinning.

"Good.... Now, leave me."

The two Diamonds nodded, before exiting the control room.

Gene sighed, leaning back in his chair, staring at the map of the galaxy. He looked down at his pearl, who looked back up at him. If only one of the others could heal shattered gems..... Zane would still be there.... right....? Unfortunately, healing was not a power of the remaining Diamonds.... Gene could control memory, Zenix could create heat, Sasha could use witchcraft, and Zane...... Zane was the one who could heal......

"Pearl, do something. Sing for me." Gene snapped his fingers.

His pearl let out a quiet him, before singing for him.

Gene turned his head to stare at the diamond shape on his chair, before pressing his hand to the black diamond.

Zane, the lowest ranked Elite Diamond, was shattered..... by his own creation.....

That Smokey Quartz was gonna get it......

That rebellion was going to be crushed under Gene's hands.
