Gabrielle's POV (time skip 1 week later)
"Really? Oh my gosh!" Becky exclaimed "Hey, is that your boyfriend?" She frowned, pointing to a tall boy in the distance. I hadn't seen Jake in a week. I narrowed my eyes. I had glasses and I really should be wearing them 24/7 but they look so ugly on me and I don't want to get teased.
"I can't tell from over here" I bit my lip "Is it really him?"
"Well, he's smiling at you and walking towards us so I assume so" Becky gave a small wave "Did he actually get expelled?"
"Yeah" I sighed "Do you mind if I go?"
"No problem, call me later, yeah?"
"Sure thing" We hugged briefly before I jogged over to Jake, grinning. "Hey, baby!"
"Hey, love" He scooped me up and twirled around "I missed you"
"What are you doing here anyway?"
"Came to see my girl" He smiled, pecking me on the lips before putting me down "I got you some flowers" He handed me a bouquet of white roses.
"They're so beautiful! Thank you!" I squealed excitedly, hugging them to my chest
"Nothing is beautiful next to you" I blushed and pecked him on the cheek "Can I walk you home?"
"Sure"
Jake entwined his fingers with mine as we strolled along the streets. He told me about his online schooling, which was going very well, and how things were going at home. His dad seemed to be getting better too.
"So, anyway, what about you, Gabs?" He turned to look at me "Has your dad calmed down yet?"
"No" I groaned "I'm grounded forever, my dad has a fucking app on my phone that connects his phone so he can track me at all times. I hate him-"
"No, don't say that" Jake shook his head "He's your dad and he's the only on you've got. He's just overprotective because he loves you and he doesn't want you to get hurt-"
"You're not going to hurt me-"
"He doesn't know that! He's older and he has more experience, maybe he knows what's its like to be heartbroken! You're his only daughter and the last thing he wants is some stupid boy breaking your heart! You should respect his opinion-"
"Jake, what the hell has happened to you? You hate my dad!"
"I hate what he thinks about me. I don't hate that he cares about you because if I had a daughter, I'd probably be overprotective too.I just hate that your dad won't give me a chance to prove to him that I'm good enough for you"
"You are good enough for me, way too good. I'm so out of your league, who cares what my dad thinks?"
"I do, if things work out between us, he'll be my father-in-law and I don't want him to hate me. And for the record, you are way out of my league"
"My mum likes you, isn't that enough?"
"No, you dad knows what boys are like. He knows what they think because he's been there, your mum hasn't. Your dad just wants to protect you because the chances are he isn't too keen on being a grandad either. Trust me, us boys are just constantly thinking about sex" He chuckled a little.
"I'm sorry"
"For what?" He frowned
"For not being ready to have sex, Jake. I know you want to but-"
