Chapter 73: before hand (Part 1)

Tessa's p.o.v

That night I stayed with Blaze. Everyone stayed with their mate or with their parents. I know Annachi and mom stayed together and Kaden, Sage, and Griffen all stayed together. As of now I'm laying in bed with my head on Blaze's bare chest. His hand is tracing random patterns on my arm as I cuddle into him.

"Tomorrow is the day we bury our parents."

Blaze says with a sigh at the end. The whole land will be depressed and saddened. Nearly every pack lost someone. The only back that didn't is the Noble pack.

"Yeah."

I softly say as I look up into the brown eyes of my mate. I sigh and send him a small smile.

"I'll be by your side the whole time. The only time I won't be is when I'm carrying away my f-father's casket."

He says as tears brim his eyes. I wipe away the tears that fall from his eyes. He smiles down at me but his smile doesn't reach his eyes.

"Can we not talk about this Blazs. At least not at the moment."

I ask him and he nods. I peck his soft lips and lay my head on his chest. I close my eyes as I listen to the sound of his heart beat.

Thump.

Thump Thump.

Thump.

Thump Thump.

"WAKIE! WAKIE!"

"Ahhh!"

I scream into a pillow as I feel a force covering my body. Emma's laughter is the next thing I hear and I roll my eyes. I turn my head to see that it's Blaze that's covering me with his body.

He growls lowly and I feel something push against my back. I blush and jump out from under him onto the floor. He laughs along with Emma and I sigh.

"Wake up love birds and be ready within two hours."

She says as she slams the door behind her. My eyes go to the alarm clock to see it says 6 AM. I sigh and stand up. I look over at Blaze to see he has a slight blush on his face.

"Someone embarrassed?"

I ask as I walk over to my duffel bag and search around for something to wear. Today is our parents funeral and I know Emma wanted to have a happy start to a say day.

"That never happens to me."

He quickly rushed out and I laugh. I finally give up looking for a dress and turn to Blaze who is still sitting on the bed.

"Do you know where I can find a dress to wear?"

I ask him and he chuckles. I notice how the blankets are gathered around his waist. Yup, he's embarrassed.

"You in a dress?"

He asks with a smirk on his face. I smile and roll my eyes as I nod.

"I want to look nice for my father."

I tell him and he sighs in understanding. His eyes glaze over and a few minutes later there is a knock at the door. I open it and a woman is standing there with a black dress in her arms.

"Thank you."

I tell her as I take the dress from her. She walks away as I shut the door. I walk over to the bathroom and shut the door behind me. I turn the water on and look at the dress that was given to me.

It was a black a little above the knee length dress with no sleeves. It was paired with a black leather jacket and a Cresent moon necklace. The moon had a circle by it with a galaxy painted on it.
