Girls Day

"Hey" Diane said walking in and giving me a hug.

I shut my laptop, I guess that's the end of working today. "You ready for girls day" Diane said getting a glass of water.

"I am very ready for girls day," I said grabbing my purse. "Are you hungry? Should we get lunch first?"

"Sounds good" she said, "whatever you need to do. If you need to finish up working before we leave that's fine."

We got in the car, "what'd you and Rob do last night?" Diane asked.

"I made dinner, so we ate and then we watched tv. And we're kinda like an old couple now" I said with a laugh. "We were in bed and asleep by nine."

"That's good though, Rob needs to just relax when he comes home" Diane said, "I'm glad you help him do that."

I felt my phone buzz. We'll just have to practice having quickies more often I guess. 😉 Love you and hope you're having a good day. - Rob

I know you're on lunch but focus on football. I love you too - me

This morning was so hot - Rob

I want to start every morning with sex and I promise we will get better at quickies. - Rob

Then he sent me a link to a gift certificate for two massages.

"So I guess we're getting massage after this" I said showing Diane the picture.

"Well it looks like he has even bigger plans for you" Diane said with a laugh.

I took my phone back, "what are you talking about?" I asked

"Check your texts" she said, and I did.

You'll also get a naked massage on Sunday night. - Rob

"Diane, I am so so sorry" I said and I'm sure my face is as red as it can possibly get.

She laughed, "You're both adults, nothing to worry about" she said.

"Right, but he's still your son" I said.

"Yep and he's twenty-three, and he has a sex life like any adult does. And he's never been one to be embarrassed of it."

"I've never been so mad at him" I said shaking my head. "You have no idea, I'm going to rip him a new ass."

"Honey, those texts mean he loves you and is thinking about you. Men just sometimes have a funny way of showing it" she said reaching her hand out to squeeze my arm. Showing me it's okay.

We sat down at a booth.

"Diane, still I am so sorry" I said, "and I'm so embarrassed."

"You're talking about my son that's obsessed with the number sixty-nine" Diane said with a laugh, "none of this falls on you."

"Thank you" I said letting out a deep breath. 

We continued on with our day, going to get massages and relaxing. 

When we went back to the house after dinner, Diane opened a bottle of wine. 

"How long are you staying in Boston?" Diane asked. 

"Till Wednesday morning" I said, "I figured I'd make it a little longer sense the next two games are away, and I don't think I'm going to go to them."

"That's good, he likes having you here" Diane said "I'll be at the game in Buffalo, but I won't be at the game next week either."

"I'm going to go change my clothes really quick, and then I'll be back" I said "I'm just not comfortable."

"Go ahead" Diane said, 

I felt uncomfortable walking into Rob's bedroom. I grabbed clothes and walked into the bathroom, washing my face. I put on the leggings and t-shirt. 

My phone rang, "hey babe" I said laying down on the bed. 

"Hey blondie, how was your day?" Rob asked. 

"I feel kinda uncomfortable sleeping in your bed without you here, and with your mom here" I said twirling my hair. 

"My mom doesn't care that you're sleeping in my bed" Rob said with a laugh. "Caroline, just view it as our bed."

"I have a bone to pick with you mister" I said, "you can not send me inappropriate texts when you know I'm with your mother. She was looking at a picture on my phone, and your texts popped up."

Rob laughed, "babe it's fine" he said 

"I don't think it's fine Rob, it's totally inappropriate." 

"You're just on edge babe, you need to relax. Go sit enjoy hanging out with my mom, have a few glasses of wine. I'll see you after the game" 

"So I'm absolutely ridiculous for feeling weird about sleeping in your bed, with your mom in the house, without you here" I said. 

"Yes, she couldn't care less. Right now, it's just as much your bed as it is mine, and she doesn't care that we have sex. We are adults babe, she would think it was weird if we weren't having sex."

"How was everything today?" I asked. 

"I had a good day, I think it's going to be a good game tomorrow" Rob said. "I love you."

"I love you too" I said, "I'm glad I have the dog to sleep with tonight."

"Me too, I'm glad you brought Roxy" Rob said, "I'm glad you have that security blanket."

"Yep" I said closing my eyes starting to fall asleep. 

"I'm glad I have that book you gave me to look at" Rob said. 

"Okay Rob, it's time for us to hang up" I said with a laugh, "I'm not having phone sex with your mom in the next room."

"I love you, goodnight."

"I love you too" I said. I hung up. 

"Sorry that took me awhile, Rob called" I said sitting down on the couch. 

"It's all good" Diane said

I got into bed, still feeling odd about sleeping in Rob's bed without him in it. 

I have so much work to do from spending this day with Diane. 

Rox curled up next to me.
