Boston (Book 2 Rob and Caroline)

I want it all

I woke up to a little boy pushing my arm, "Caroline, wake up" Evan said.

"I'm up, just lay here a few more minutes" I said, "I'll turn on Thomas the train."

Robs eyes opened with a smile.  "I'd really like to get a chance to talk to you" he said pulling me close as Evan had moved to the end of the bed, sitting watching the tv.

"Okay, let's get moving and you and I can go take a boat ride."

"I love you" he said kissing my forehead. "There's no hurry, let's get up and get Evan some breakfast and then once other people are up, I'd really like some time with you."

Getting out of bed, I took Evan on my hip, out into the kitchen.  Krystal is sitting with Anna, watching the news.  "You two are the best" Krystal said.

"We love having the kids here" I said pouring a cup of coffee.  I cut some fruit up for Evan and sat him on the couch with it.

"Rob you're a trooper, I'm so sorry he got in bed with you guys. He's so used to it just being Caroline" Krystal said

"No, he was fine, we actually fell asleep in our bed watching tv before Caroline even came up from the lake" Rob said.

"You two spoil these kids too much" Krystal said shaking her head with a laugh.

"You ready to go?" Rob asked standing in the kitchen.

"Yeah" I said

"Where are you going?" Evan asked

"We'll be back in a little while" I said kissing Evans cheek.

Krystal gave me a short wave and a smile.

Getting on the boat, Rob looked at me, "babe, just let me talk for a minute.  Because last night everything just clicked."

"Clicked?" I asked confused.

Rob took my hands in his, taking my engagement ring for around my neck, unclasping it and holding it in-front of me.

"Caroline, this is everything I want with you.  I want to spend every day loving you. I want to send every day right here, with your crazy family everywhere, and kids everywhere, and no one having any boundaries. And when I say that, I don't necessarily mean our biological children, I mean Sams kids and any of your other nieces and nephews and children that we treat as our own. I want to be uncle rob, or dad or wherever that leads. But regardless I want little hands that love us everywhere, I want kids crawling in our bed at night because we are their safe place, and I want to teach them, with you. Having Evan last night, all to myself, it made me realize that. So what do you say, you still want to marry me now that I'm ready to sign onto your life fully?"

I'm crying, like really crying, I nodded my head "yes, yes, yes" I said. Throwing my arms around him. "I've never loved you so much."

"I love you too babe" Rob said holding me tight against him. "Now let's go back and be with everyone, does that sound good to you?"

"Yes" I said.

Pulling up and docking I stood on the dock, "Rob, I love you" I said leaning in and kissing him.

"I love you too" Rob said, "now let's go cuddle up on that couch and spend time with OUR loud crazy family."

Walking inside, I got myself another cup of coffee before snuggling into Rob on the couch.

"So when's the wedding love birds?" Krystal asked with a smile. Anna patted my leg and I pulled her up onto my lap.

Rob let out a small laugh, "whenever this one picks a date."
