A Day to Relax

I got up around seven, pulling myself into the kitchen and making coffee and toast before sitting at the kitchen counter with my laptop.

Rob came up behind me, kissing my neck. "Alright babe, the massage therapists will be here around ten." I looked at the clock, it's eight.

"Come on, get off your laptop" Rob said nibbling on my ear.

"Okay, okay" I said with a laugh getting up and getting myself another cup of coffee before sitting next to Rob on the couch.

Resting my head on his shoulder, we said nothing for the longest time, just sitting watching the news.

"I am not ready for your family to get here" Rob said putting his hand on my thigh.

"Rob, reminder this is my birthday week" I said looking at him, "we went to Key West for your birthday week."

"But we took time for us during my birthday week" Rob said, "and I know that's not how this is going to go down."

I let out a deep breath, wanting to get annoyed but choosing not to, I climbed on Robs lap, straddling him.  "Look, I'm here right now, and you have my full attention, let's just take advantage of this time."

Rob just smiled at me, "what?" I asked looking at him confused.

"You look so hot" Rob said with a smirk pulling me in and kissing me.

Pulling away Rob smiled at me, "you're right we need to take advantage of this time."

Looking down at my watch to check the time, it's 9:30. "We only have thirty minutes until the massage therapist gets here."

"Can we talk about what I found out at PT this week?" Rob said looking at me.

"Yeah babe, of course, I want to know everything."

"I'm really worried about wether I'm going to be able to have sex at the six week mark."

"Babe, we knew this may be the case, it's not a big deal" I said playing with his hair. "That's why at the beginning I just said three to four months."

"But I don't want to go that long" Rob said, "I miss sex."

"Babe, I promise things will get better" I said, "and we will find other ways to be physical and I will make an effort."

"I want to be able to pick you up again" Rob said looking at me. "I want to have good, long, hot sex."

"But your health comes first" I said, "and so we will make it work."

"I love you" Rob said leaning in and kissing me.

"Rob, I am just happy to have you back. Those first weeks were rough for both of us."

There was a knock on the door and I got off of Rob.

"Come on in" I said heading for the door, but Goon is already letting them in and directing them to set up in the family room.

"Let's go get changed babe" Rob said pulling me away, "Goon will help them set up."

"How's Roxy been while I was gone?" I asked taking off Rob's shirt and my pj shorts and putting on my robe.

"She was great, we snuggled every night." Rob said stripping down to his boxers.

"Thank you for taking care of her" I said reaching up and kissing him. "And thank you for taking care of me."

Rob let out a scuff, "I'm pretty sure you're the one taking care of me babe."

There was a knock on the door, "come out whenever you two are ready" a ladies voice said
