Wow, I actually slept so great all by myself.
Waking up, I walked downstairs.
Rob's sitting on the couch.
"Sam and everyone should be down in the next few hours" I said making myself a cup of coffee.
"Great, are you going to sleep in bed with me, or are we just going to make it blatantly obvious to everyone that we are arguing."
"Rob, it just seemed easier to sleep in the guest room, calm down."
"Caroline, I am sorry, I know I overstepped"
"Did you do your exercises yet?" I asked.
"No, I just woke up"
I nodded my head, "just let me drink my coffee, and then I'll help you with them."
The door opened, and in walked Sam and Morgan. "Oh my god, what are you two doing here this early?" I said jumping up from the couch to hug them.
"We just felt like it was time to head down" Sam said, "after all I have some work to do, but I really have some questions to ask you about it."
"Okay, I just got up, so just give me a few minutes to get our lives together" I said, "do y'all want some coffee?"
"Can you help me put some clothes on?" Rob asked.
"Yeah, we should do that" I said nodding my head.
"Hey, Caroline" Sam said grabbing my arm to get my attention, "chill out, we are not here for you to entertain us, we are here to help you. Just relax."
I nodded my head following Rob into my bedroom. I can tell Rob is grumpy. "Rob, I'm trying here" I said shutting the bedroom door.
"Yeah, well we don't go to bed angry with each other" Rob said, "we just don't."
"I'm sorry, by the time I had calmed down, it was late, I figured I would just go upstairs and get some sleep."
"Caroline, we aren't together all the time, any night we get together is important." Rob said, "and now your family is here, and I can tell you're still mad at me."
"Rob, I'm not mad at you, I'm over it. If I seem grumpy, it's because I'm stressed out and tired."
"You aren't going to sleep upstairs all weekend are you?"
"No, of course not" I said, I placed my hands on his shoulders, "babe, we are going to be okay. God is just testing us right now."
Rob leaned down to kiss me. Pulling away, he smiled at me, "I love you."
Helping him change his clothes, we then walked back out to Sam and Morgan. "So, why don't you and Morgan go into the winery and I'll stay here with Rob" Sam said.
I hesitated in my response, "babe, have a girls day, get a massage, drink a few glasses of wine. I'll be fine." Rob said pulling lunch meat out of the fridge.
"You promise you'll do your exercises?" I said.
"I promise, now go" Rob said, "maybe you can plan part of this darn wedding while you are there. But most importantly, just go relax."
"Okay, I will, thank you" I walked over kissing his cheek.
Morgan and I finally headed out. "Caroline, you've got to take some time for yourself"
"When? In between Robs doctors appointments? I've taken care of family before, but something about this is different, and harder."
"You've taken care of people that you aren't romantically involved with, which is why Rob is struggling, because you show him no love."
