Night Out

"Good morning beautiful" Rob said opening the shower door.

"I'm not really awake yet" I said leaning out of the shower and kissing him.

"Do you have time to eat breakfast?" He asked looking me up and down.

"I'm not really hungry but I have time for a good coffee and cuddle session on the couch" I said smiling at him while he's making me blush staring at me.

"Okay" he said

"Okay" I said. He shut the door. Did we just get the sexual tension back in our relationship? I think we did.

I finished up my shower, getting out and throwing on a pair of leggings and a t-shirt.

I left my hair down and naturally curly, typically it'd be a no make up day, but maybe I'll put some mascara and chap stick on for Rob.

When I walked out he's sitting on the couch. He widened his legs and opened his arms, clearly wanting me to straddle his lap.

"Your butt has gotten bigger" Rob said as I sat down, wrapping my legs around his waist. His hand resting on the underside of my butt, supporting me.

"I know, I need to go back to doing more cardio" I said.

Rob let out a small laugh, "blondie, that's not what I meant. I like your butt." He gave it a small squeeze.

I rolled my eyes, "I would just like to fit in all my jeans" I said.

"Can't the butt stay" Rob said giving me a pouty lip.

I laughed, "Rob my butt isn't going to go away, it's genetics. But it is bigger that I'd ideally like it to be."

"I like it" Rob said

I laughed, "I'm very aware that you like it. But I just need to get back into better shape, trust me it won't go away."

"I think you look hot just the way you are right now" Rob said, leaning in and kissing me.

"Rob you brought it up" I said, "I just wanted to sit and drink our coffee."

"It was a complement" Rob said, squeezing my butt again.

"Stop that" I said with a laugh, setting my cup of coffee down, I leaned in and rested my head on his chest.

"I want this to be our every day" Rob said holding me tight.

"I changed our flights, we're flying out Thursday morning for Cincinnati" I mumbled.

"Someone's a little eager to get home" Rob said with a laugh, "good I'm glad you were able to make it work."

I finally had to get up, "want another cup to go?" He asked standing up.

"That would be great" I said "thanks."

"What can I do today?" Rob asked, fixing my coffee.

"Babe, you don't need to do anything" I said sitting on the counter.

He stood between my legs, "yes, tell me what I can do so when you get home tonight you aren't running around trying to get ready to leave tomorrow."

"Just do some cleaning and laundry so we don't come back to a totally messy house" I said, "I need to pack my own bag and I was thinking about making cookies."

"Yeah, I can't do that. I'll just buy some" Rob said, "but you are not baking when you get home tonight."

"You're right, I can always bake when I get there" I leaned in and kissed him, "just see if you can tidy up some. That would be great."

"That's all you have to do tonight?" He looked at me unsure.

"Yes, and I'm hoping to get back here at a decent time so that I can pack." I said, "thank you for the coffee."

I hopped off the counter and gave him a kiss. "I love you, have a good day."

I picked up my purse and was out the door.

I have to go out for a work thing tonight. I called Rob, thinking he's going to be pretty upset with me.

"Hey babe," I said running a hand through my hair.

"Hey, when are you thinking you'll be home this evening?" Rob asked

"Well, I have this work thing that I have to go to" I said kinda cringing at my own words.

"Babe that's fine, Roxy and I have everything under control here" Rob said "you enjoy a girls night."

Okay, he's being so okay with this that I feel guilty. "Do you want to come with me? You can if you can behave yourself."

"Do you want me to?" Rob asked

"I mean it would give us a chance to spend some time together, and I know you've been home by yourself all day."

"If you're comfortable with me being there, I'll be there."

"I'll send you the address" I said

After finishing out my day I headed to the bar with my friends.

Dancing the night away, I spotted Rob walking in the door.

"Hey, I'm glad you came" I said before he leaned in and kissed me, his hand resting on my butt as he pulled me in.

"How could I miss this?" Rob asked with a smile, "go back, you look like you're having a ball. I'll get us two drinks and go sit with Luke and Cole."

"Now this is still networking, so best behavior" I said

"Yes ma'am" he said giving my butt a slap before parting ways.

Maddie pulled me back in to dance, Caroline and Luke had left to get back to their kids.

Rob and I had already discussed that we shouldn't dance together in bars, so that was already handled.

I walked over to check on him and Cole, "you good?" I asked

"I'm doing just fine" he said handing me a drink.

Rodney Atkins and Thomas Rhett are also sitting with them.

"Do we need to get going?" I asked

"You go have fun, we're fine" Rob said

"Did you let Roxy out to use the bathroom and feed her before you left?" I asked.

"Caroline, yes, go, you're not responsible for anyone tonight" Rob said, "the house is clean all you have to do is put yourself on that plane tomorrow."

"Thank you" I said walking away

"You should go dance with her" I could just barely hear Rodney say.

But I couldn't hear Rob's response.

"Well, I think we just shut down the bar" I said with a laugh as Rob opened the car door for me.

I got in, Rob getting in behind me.

"I had so much fun" I said then moving over and sitting on his lap.

"I know you did, I'm glad you got to do that" Rob said leaning in and kissing me.

Rob put his hand up my dress, "babe, just wait till we get home." I leaned in and kissed him again.

Making it up to the apartment, I started to wind down, I'm tired. I sat down, taking off my shoes and petting Roxy.

"Blondie, come on let's just go to bed" he said taking my phone out of my hand and kissing me

"Maybe we won't make it all the way to bed" I said pulling off his shirt.

"I loved watching you dance" he said pulling off my dress.
