Boston (Book 2 Rob and Caroline)

Alone time

Rob's pov.

"Babe, I'm gonna get up and go work out" I said pecking her on the forehead. I need to blow off some steam. She's driving me crazy and I know it's not her fault, but it's hard.

She nodded her head rolling over.

"Hey, when did you all get in?" I asked looking at Gordie, Glen, and my Dad in the kitchen.

"Only a half hour maybe" Dad said.

"Alright, well I'm gonna go get a workout in" I said. "Caroline's sleeping."

"I will too" Gordie said.

"Alright, well come on" I said.

We walked into the house and I saw Caroline cooking breakfast.

"Baby, I told you you're job is not to feed them" I said getting a glass of water. I held her from behind and kissed her neck

"We already tried" my dad said, "she insisted."

"I'm just making eggs" she said, a smile on her face and a sparkle in her eyes, she laughed.

"I'm going to go get a shower" I said and kissed her cheek, "they're fine. Why don't you come talk to me."

"I'm sure you two are going to do a lot of talking" Glen said with a laugh.

"You go shower" she said turning around, "I'm not going anywhere."

"You promise" I said

"Yes, go shower" she said with a laugh moving away. "You stink."

I walked into our bedroom, maybe I pushed it a little bit with her. But she didn't seem uncomfortable.

God, I need a cold shower.

"Where are they?" I asked walking into the kitchen seeing Caroline sitting at the counter.

"They're outside" she said.

I placed my hands on her shoulders, massaging them. "Oh gosh, that feels so good" she said.

"You've worked yourself into knots and I only went to take a shower" I said, "why don't you lay down and I'll give you a back massage?"

"I don't have time right now" she said, "I want to get this work done so I can enjoy the rest of my day."

"I wasn't too much earlier was I?" I asked.

"Rob, no" she said, "I know that's just how you are."

"Okay, because if you ever feel uncomfortable I just want you to tell me" I said.

"Rob, I promise I will tell you when I feel uncomfortable okay?" she said, "but we can go back to normal and I'll tell you when it's too much for me."

"Can we cuddle on the couch now?" I asked, "I'll nap while you work."

"Yeah" she said.

I laid down on the couch, leaving space in-between my legs for her. She sat down, her back resting on my chest. She covered us up with a blanket, and set to work on her computer.

"You know, the beauty of this blanket is that I have full access to your front" I said kissing her neck.

"Rob, come on I'm working" she said. "Maybe later."

"Okay" I said leaving one last kiss on her neck. I sat there enjoying getting to hold her.

"What's the plan today" Glen asked, I woke up to them all walking inside.
