Boston (Book 2 Rob and Caroline)

Party Day

My eyes fluttered open, I rolled over in bed to realize that I'm all alone.

Getting up, I threw on a pair of shorts and walked out into the family room, "rise and shine sunshine" my mom said.

"Guess I slept in today" I said as everyone is chilling after breakfast. I poured a cup of coffee, and sat down next to Rob on the couch, snuggling in.

"Good morning" he kissed my temple, "you want to take a coffee cruise?" He whispered in my ear.

"Not right now" I placed a hand on his leg hoping he could just read my mind for a minute.  I'm not awake yet and I really want some time with my family.

I leaned against him, resting my head on his shoulder.  I heard a camera click and looked at Liz, "just capturing the moments" she said with a smile.

"So today is big party day" Sam said, "everyone should be down around eleven."

"That's right, I totally forgot we have all our friends coming down today."

I rested against Rob for a few more minutes.

"Alright, I'm going to go check emails, Sam's going to help you with your PT, right?" I said kissing his cheek and standing up.

"And we are going to talk more this week about finding a solution to the never ending emails" Rob said.

"Later" I said shutting our bedroom door behind me.

The door to our bedroom opened and Rob sat down next to me in bed.

"We are done checking emails for the day" Rob said closing my laptop and leaning in kissing me.

He kissed me again, "Rob" I said with a warning tone.

"Just give me a few more minutes" he said kissing me again.

"Mhm" I said leaning in to kiss him again.

"Alright" I said with a giggle, trying to get him to stop, he leaned in and kissed me again.

"I love loving on you" Rob said leaning in and kissing me one last time.

"Now you came in here to tell me it's time to get our day started right" I said checking my phone.

"No, I came in here to have you ice my back" he said putting his hand over my phone and peppering my neck with kisses.

"Stop" I said with a laugh, getting out of bed. "I'll be back with ice."

I walked back in, "alright you know the drill, lay down."

I put the ice on his back and went over to the closet getting out a swim suit. "Babe, can't you just sit with me?"

"Yeah, hang on, just let me change."

"You look hot" Rob said, his eyes scanning my body as I walked over to the bed to sit down.  "Why don't we go get lunch somewhere?"

"Rob, this is all I want" I said, "I don't need to go anywhere.  I want this house loud and packed, I want to hear the love and feel the love and see the love. I want something to always be cooking."

"Well then can we go sit on the porch for a little before we head down?"

"Absolutely"

"Caroline, I'm ready to just be married" Rob said playing with my hand.

"Me too" I said "but you know you and I both committed to each other.  We are going to start spending more time together and less apart, so what's the difference? When we make it happen, we make it happen."
