Goodnight to the birthday boy

Driving to dinner I looked at Rob, "Caroline said she's dancing tonight" Rob said.

"Wow aren't you just breaking every rule you made for yourself tonight" Sam said.

"We are engaged, it's his birthday. Sometimes rules become conditional" I said relaxing into Rob.

"I'm happy, you're happy" Sam said, wow that was big for him.

Rob tried to push his hand up my thigh and I slapped his hand away.

Finally pulling up at the restaurant. "Dude can you get a table, I'm going to have Dan take some pictures of us." Rob said to Sam.

"Yeah" Sam said, Rob pulled me along.

"Rob what are we taking pictures for?"

"Because we never take the time to" Rob said. Handing his phone to Dan.

"You're right, it's good to have informal pictures of the two of us" I said walking into the restaurant.

"Yes, and you just need to remember that tonight, we aren't worrying about anyone else" Rob said, "got it." I just nodded my head sitting down.

After the waiter came by and took our drink orders. Rob grabbed my hand, giving it a light squeeze. "Next year around this time we will be married" Rob said leaning in and whispering in my ear.

"Have you figured our where the wedding is going to be?" Gordie asked.

"Not entirely" I said, "we are working on logistics."

"Well do it where it's convenient for your Mamaw to come, it won't be a destination wedding or anything like that" Rob said. 

I looked at him with the biggest puppy dog eyes, "this is why I love you" 

After dinner we headed to the bar. "Come on babe, let's dance" Rob said a hand on the small of my back.

"Let's just hang out and get a drink first" I said shaking my head.

After getting drinks Rob looked at me, "babe, if you aren't comfortable dancing, we don't have to."

"I want to" I said turning so I'm facing him, leaning up and kissing him. "We're young, one day we will be old and married sitting in drinking a glass of wine."

Rob leaned in kissing me again. "Anytime I get to spend with you is pretty great"

"Right, but it's your birthday and you like to dance, so let's dance" I said finishing my drink and sitting it on the table.

"Do we have boundaries during this?" Rob asked, one eyebrow cocked.

I leaned in kissing him, "no boundaries." I grabbed his hand pulling him onto the dance floor with a smirk.

"I couldn't tell you the last time I got to do that" I said as we stepped off the dance floor. Leaning in, kissing Rob.

"Let's go down to the beach and sit" Rob said, one hand on my ass. Taking the steps outside, I sat down in the sand. Rob moving in behind me.

I rested against him. "That was so much fun" I said feeling so safe with him more or less surrounding me.

"I couldn't tell you the last time I've seen you this relaxed" Rob said.

"Well, it helps that we are getting married, I'm alot less woried about Liz seeing pictures of us making out on a magazine cover."

"Does she still think you're a virgin?"

I let out a deep breath, "I don't know, we haven't talked about it" I said closing my eyes.

"I love having time with you, where it's just about the two of us" Rob said kissing my neck, his hands exploring my front.

He reached for the bottom of my dress, "Ah ah, you can wait till we get home" I said swatting his hand away.

"Alright, well we've had dinner, danced, and drank. I say we go back in, have one more drink, and then head out" Rob said.

I turned around, straddling his waist, "Sounds like a plan" I watched Robs eyes bulge out.

"Caroline, this is some very clear teasing" Rob said, "and it's cruel."

"Admit it, you think it's so hot" I said leaning in kissing his neck.

"Just about anything you do turns me on" Rob said.

I stood up holding out a hand, "Come on let's go in and have that one more drink" I said.

"You sure you don't want to just head out?" Rob stood up, leaning in and kissing me.

"I think we should go in and have one more drink" I said. 

"Where'd you two go?" Gordie asked when we walked back in and over to the table. 

"Just went down to the beach for some air." I said. 

Rob ordered two vodka waters. 

I found all the other guys heads out on the dance floor. 

"How much longer do y'all think you'll be here?" I asked Chris, finishing my drink

"Probably till close" Chris said. 

"I think we are going to go ahead and head out now" I said, "well have Goon take us back and he'll come back for y'all."

"What are you going to be the first one that leaves the bar now?" Chris said to Rob. 

"It's hard to say no to her" Rob said with a smirk. "We'll see you tomorrow morning."

We finally exited, getting in the car. 

I leaned my head on Rob's shoulder, closing my eyes. 

"I had a really good night with you" he said kissing my  temple. 

"It was so much fun!" I said opening my eyes, realizing that even though I am, Rob is in fact not  ready for bed. Put on your big girl pants Caroline. 

"You looked so hot blondie" he said kissing my neck. 

Pulling up at the house Rob got out and I slid out after him.

"So was it everything you wanted for your birthday?" I asked as we sat down on the outdoor couch. 

"Babe, we could be spending a night in on this couch together, and it would be all I wanted" Rob said, "I got to spend my birthday with you, I'm happy." He kissed my neck, "are you ready for bed?"

"Yes" I said

Walking into our room, I headed for the bathroom. "I had so much fun dancing with you" Rob said coming up behind me while I wash my face and putting his arms around me. 

"It was nice, to just feel like we have a normal relationship" I said

He left a kiss on my cheek. "I'll be in bed." 

Attempting to fix my hair, I took off my dress. Simple black lace underwear set. I turned my  phone off, sitting it on  the bathroom counter. 

"Babe, are you coming?" Rob asked. 

"Do you have any patience?" I asked with a laugh walking out. 

"Holy shit" Rob said looking me up and down. 

"Happy Birthday Babe" I said getting into bed. Getting on top of him and kissing him.  He quickly switched over so that he was on top. 

In charge, this is one way things worked out with us. When it comes to the bedroom, I don't want to be responsible, I want him to take control.  I'm in control in every other aspect of my life, giving  it up when it comes to sex is so freeing.
