Boston (Book 2 Rob and Caroline)

Peace

I rolled over to find Rob missing from the bed next to me, I threw on some shorts, and walked into the kitchen.

"Good morning" Rob said pulling me in for a kiss, a good kiss, that really woke me up.

"Okay, eating in here" Max said breaking us apart.

"There's coffee in the pot" Rob said before letting go of me. He smiled at me.

"Thanks" I said getting a mug out and pouring a cup, black.

"Need any help?" I said sitting up on the counter.

"Just go sit down at the table, and relax. I'm almost done" I stared at Rob's back.

"Okay" I said hopping, "thank you" I brushed his back with my hand as I walked by.

I went over sitting at the table, "so, last day, what would you all like to do?"

"Really just hang here and be lazy with you" Sam said, "we didn't come down here for you to have to constantly entertain us."

"Alrighty then, lazy day it is" I said, as Rob sat the food down, sitting down next to me.

"Thank you for making breakfast" I said looking over at him smiling, resting a hand on his leg.

"This is so good" Liz said eating a piece of a pancake.

"What's the arm situation?" Sam asked

"If these antibiotics don't work I'll have to have another surgery to clean out the infection" Rob said, "either way not a big deal."

"So you'll both be in Boston again?" Sam asked raising an eyebrow.

"For less than a week" I said

"Let us know if you need any help" Sam said nodding his head.

"I think I'll be just fine with this one around" Rob said. I shook it off.

"So you and Morgan like for good done?" I asked

"Yep" Sam said "it wasn't a healthy relationship. What's the plan for your birthday?" nodding at Rob.

"We haven't decided yet" Rob said, "kinda depends on both our schedules at that time."

"I just know there was talk about doing a group trip" Sam said, "I'm sure you two will find some fun way to celebrate."

"Yeah, maybe Vegas or Key West, it's still in the works"

"This is the first I'm hearing of Vegas" I said with a laugh.

I was impressed, the four of them, joked around and relaxed all day long. Things are finally going smoothly. Sam and Max and Rob can all live in one house together.

I felt my body being lifted off the couch.

"Let's go to bed" Rob said carrying me, I could get used to this.

He laid me down in bed, getting in next to me.

I curled up into him.

"Good night babe, I love you" Rob said holding me tight.
