Back to just the two of us

I woke up next to a very hungover Rob. "Please, please don't make me get up to leave" Rob said laying in bed next to me.

"You did this to yourself" I said, "we've got to get out of here."

"Do we really though" Rob groaned putting a pillow over his head.

"Relax, I'll pack up while you catch a few more minutes of shut eye" I said getting up.

"I can't wait to get back to Nashville with you" Rob said as I felt arms wrap around me from behind.

I smiled leaning back and kissing him, pulling away I smiled at him again, "we're in a really good place right now."

"Yes, we definitely are" he said, his voice clearly hungover.

I laughed a little, leaning in and kissing him again, "you are so hung over."

"We sure are having fun right now though aren't we?" He left pecks on my neck.

"Rob, let me pack and get ready. Why don't you go work out, that way when we get to Nashville you can just have fun with Julien" I said 

"And this plane ride, we're going to talk and plan like civilized adults, right?" Rob asked. 

"Anything you want, I just don't want to beat a dead horse by discussing what we've already discussed" I said. 

Getting onto the plane, I snuggled into Rob.  "Caroline, I just want you to be real with me, no secrets" Rob said holding me close. 

"Can we please just relax" I said closing my eyes. 

"Why do you insist on us using condoms?" Rob asked pulling away so he can look me in the eyes. 

"I just want to be safe" I said 

"We've been together for two years, we're engaged, you're on birth control" Rob said, "how much more safe does it get."

"I just don't want to take any risks, we both have busy lives" I said cuddling into him again. 

"Caroline, you're on birth control so the only purpose of condoms would be to protect from STD's, and we're only sleeping with each other and we have been for two years. So what's the point?" Rob asked, "I want you to be real with me."

"I don't know Rob, it's just ingrained in my mind" I said. 

"I got tested before we had sex the first time, can we please stop using condoms?" Rob asked, "please."

"Fine, you win, you're right, we are engaged" I said closing my eyes. 

"Thank you" Rob said, "now, can we discuss our plans today. We will get in at noon, are you working?" 

"Yes, I will be spending my day at the studio and you will be spending your day with Julien" 

"I'd much rather spend it with you" Rob said kissing my neck. 

"Rob, please don't" I said, "that's not fair."

"I think you were a little horny yesterday" Rob said tickling my sides, "that's why you kept kissing me."

"Rob, please" I said kissing him. 

"I think this time you even miss our good sex" Rob said his strong hands on my legs. 

"I never said I didn't miss it" I said leaning in and kissing him. 

"So are we going back to the sex every day challenge?" Rob asked kissing my neck. 

"No, and we will not be joining the mile high club today either, but you know, it's nice to feel like we're going through a good patch" I said

"What about this week with Julien in the house" Rob asked looking at me with pleading eyes. 

"Rob, I don't know" I said, "that's just not the privacy that in my opinion sex should have as a very private act." 

"Say no more, I understand" Rob said, "but maybe, you can come home before you go into the studio?" 

"What time does Julien's flight get in?" I asked looking at Rob. 

"Two, and I'll send Goon to the airport to pick him up."

"Fine, but don't expect this to become a regular occurrence that I move my schedule around so that we can have sex" I said, "because it's not, sex shouldn't be our top priority, and I have a job and responsibilities..." Rob cut me off with a kiss. 

"How about we go back to the bedroom on this plane, and then you don't have to come home" Rob said pulling away and looking at me. 

"Okay" I said, "only because I really don't want to wait" I said putting my hand underneath his shirt. 

"Well then let's go" Rob said standing up. 

"Jesus Christ that was good" I said catching my breath. 

"Yeah, it really was" Rob said with a smirk. Kissing down my body again... 

We unloaded from the plane and got in the car. They dropped me off at the studio first, "I'll see you tonight, okay babe?" Rob asked

"absolutely, I'll see you tonight" 

"And if your plans change you will at least text me so I know where you are" Rob said

"Yes, I promise" I said leaning in and kissing him. 

"Go work hard, there will be a glass of wine waiting when you get home"
