Walking into the Bryans house, I was so happy to see their sons, Tom, Tatum, and Til.

"Congratulations" Luke said shaking Rob's hand.

"Let me see the ring" Caroline said, excited.

"Well, I'm not wearing it" I said holding up my blank hand.

"Why not?" Caroline said sounding disappointed and confused.

"We're just keeping it quiet" Rob said "You just relax." He kissed my cheek before walking outside with Luke and the boys.

"So no ring?" Caroline said as we sat in the kitchen.

"Well, considering he proposed on Thanksgiving and I thought we were holding off on any conversation of marriage till after football season, and now Rob's forearm, we're just kinda enjoying keeping it to ourselves and enjoying figuring it out."

"What's your plan for the living situation?" Caroline asked raising an eyebrow

"Half here, half there, at least for right now" I said, "we'll see what the future holds."

"You'll end up in Boston" Caroline said with a laugh, "you don't think it will happen, but then it does."

"Maybe I will" I said as the boys barged through the doors.

"Maybe what will Mommy?" Tom asked

"Caroline's going to end up in Boston" Caroline said, looking at me.

I picked Tatum up holding up on my hip, he wrapped his arms around my neck.

"I didn't argue, I just said maybe someday" I said looking at Rob and shrugging.

"Once I'm out of the NFL we can live wherever you want" Rob said

Luke laughed, "careful what you promise." He looked at Caroline, "do you know where the boy's football is?"

"Garage" Caroline said. They all bounded out.

"Caroline, you two are going to make some really cute babies" Caroline said excited.

"We will see" I said with a laugh, "just not right now with our schedules."

I smiled looking outside at the kids. "Uh huh" Caroling said with a laugh following my eyes, "we'll pretend you don't have any baby fever."

"I just don't think I want kids, I've had to be everyone's mom for a long time" I said faking it.

Caroline checked the chicken in the oven and I enjoyed holding Tatum, he's getting bigger but he's still my baby.

Going through dinner, Tatum sat next to me, making me laugh.

"Alright, boys, time for bed" Luke said

"We want Caroline to put us to bed" Tommy said grabbing my arm.

"No, Caroline's not here to watch you" Luke said.

"I absolutely am," I said picking Tatum up. "It won't take long," I grabbed Tommy's hand, "come on let's go put pj's on."

Walking back down, I sat down next to Rob on the couch.

"Get your baby fix?" Caroline asked with a laugh.

"Yep" I said, "I swear those little boys get cuter every time I see them."

"You'll have your own soon and then they get a lot less cute" Luke said with a laugh, Caroline slapped him kiddingly.

"Relax I'm joking" Luke said, "but they will have their own soon if Rob's doing anything right."

I let out a small chuckle, "not with our schedules right now. We can't add a baby into this, we barely see each other."

"I tell you what, next time one of them is sick I'll call you to babysit and maybe that will relieve your baby fever" Caroline said

"Trust me, I don't have baby fever right now, I'll just keep watching yours, I don't want my own, not with our crazy lives" I said trying to lie.

"Keep those words for later" Luke said looking at Rob with a laugh"when she's not thinking sensibly and wants a third."

"We did end up with a third" Caroline said with a laugh, "I just didn't have to carry him inside me for nine months. Come on Luke admit it, they're going to make some really cute babies."

"Uh huh, right when our lives slow down that much" I said, "it's not going to be any time soon."

When we headed home, I just kinda feel upset, Caroline is right, I have baby fever.

"Babe, what's wrong?" Rob asked as we walked into the house.

"Nothing" I said getting a glass of water.

"I love you" he said as we got into bed.

"I love you too" I said closing my eyes.

"Luke and Caroline, sure do have some cute kids" Rob said.

"Yep" I said checking my phone.

"Caroline, I can tell something's wrong" Rob said, "spit it out."

"Caroline is right, I do have baby fever" I said, "I mean holding Tatum, I want that all the time."

"Caroline, it's okay that you want a baby" Rob said trying to calm me down.

"I can't have a baby though, I mean we won't ever have that, I can't make a baby that's half me and half you. I won't have toddlers jumping on my bed on Christmas morning, I won't drive carpool, I won't get to stay up all night rocking him or her because they won't sleep" I said.

"Caroline, you don't know that for sure yet, we can always try"

"I can't deal with the heartbreak of trying and not being able to" I said, "I mean four years from now, I'll admit it deep down, I want that house in the suburbs with the SUV and the kids running around."

"Let's see a specialist, you never know what we might be able to do" Rob said.

"There's nothing" I said.

"Let's talk tomorrow, you're really upset tonight" Rob said, holding me tight against him.

"I'm sorry" I said

"There's nothing you need to be sorry for" Rob said running his hands up and down my back.
