"Your brother called me from the emergency room..." He lightly ran his fingers over the scar after pulling my hand away completely, and I couldn't help the shiver that ran through my entire body at his touch. I'd been so afraid of anyone touching me for the longest time, but I knew I was absolutely safe with Logan. That he would never touch me if I didn't allow it "But I don't know what caused you to end up there. I just remember being so angry..." He trailed off, a pained sigh escaping his lips...

"I'd been out with Scarlet... and as soon as I walked in the door Jacob hit me. I collapsed on the ground, and I think I hit my head pretty hard because the next bit has always been really... the details aren't all there I guess. It's why they said they couldn't prove anything..." Logan's hand was still underneath my shirt, but it wasn't moving anymore, and I could feel his entire body tense up when I didn't continue speaking.

"I'm sorry I didn't do anything..." He softly placed his lips against my forehead, wiping away my tears with his palm and then letting it rest against my cheek "I should have done something... I was so... I was so stupid..."

"Nothing you could have done would have prevented it... Please don't blame yourself for what he did Logan." I moved myself away from him, shaking my head as I fixed my hair. Logan sighed, fidgeting with his rings, his hands seemed to be shaking slightly "You're here, right now. You've just listened to my mess and still haven't run away..." I moved my hands to his, unable to stop the yawn that creeped out of my mouth. I was suddenly exhausted, probably from the emotional stress of reliving the worst few months of my entire life "I'm so tired..."

"I'll stay the night, if you want me to." His fingers intertwined with mine, and I managed to give him a small nod. I'd wanted to ask him myself if he'd stay, because I knew the way my mind was buzzing now, that nightmares were imminent...

"Logan..." My hand stretched out across the bed, finding it empty. I knew Logan had stayed, so where was he? My door slowly opened to reveal Jacob standing there, his hand forming into a tight fist and as he stepped into my room. I tried to scream for help, but no noise would come out, a smirk ghosting over his face as he got closer to my bed...

I shot up in my bed, my hand against my chest as I struggled to catch my breath. It was the most vivid nightmare I'd ever had "Logan?" I looked around my room to find it completely empty, but the smell of his cologne was still lingering where he'd fallen asleep next to me. I slipped on a pair of shoes and grabbed a hoodie off the floor by my closet, rubbing my eyes as I headed downstairs.

"He left like an hour ago..." Alex's voice was muffled as he chewed a bite of cereal, and after he swallowed he looked up at me, his eyes widening when he saw the look on my face "Shit... you had a nightmare?" I nodded at him, as he immediately set his spoon down on the table, pushing his bowl away and standing up and walking towards me "Can I... can I do anything?" He knew my nightmares were terrible. I'd woken him up on more than one occasion with my screams...

"I need him." I mumbled under my breath, looking down at the floor, my hands pulling at each other, and my breath caught in my throat when Alex pulled my hands apart before I hurt myself "I just need him..."

Alex had helped me back up to my bedroom, and after I laid myself down on top of my covers he'd pulled his phone out of his pocket and dialed Logan's number "Fuck..." He nervously glanced over at me, shaking his head as he dialed a number again. I could hear it ringing, over and over again, and then going straight to Logan's voicemail "You wanna just go over to his place? If he's not there I know a few other places we can check..."

I felt like I was having an out of body experience, sitting in the passenger seat of Alex's car as he drove us the short distance to Logan's house. I was shivering, despite the fact I'd turned the heater on full blast and was also wrapped up in my warm hoodie. I hadn't had this bad of a reaction to a nightmare for months... and the last time it had happened, Scarlet had been there "His car is here..." I nodded as Alex spoke, and he pulled into the driveway right next to Logan's 67' Impala. The windows were still rolled down as if he'd parked in a hurry...

"I'll just wait down here..." I settled myself onto the living room couch, glancing around the space that I had been in so many times before. But it was different now... now that Logan and I were exploring whatever you would want to call our relationship at this point. I heard Alex's loud voice traveling down the stairs, and I couldn't help myself from listening to what was being said...

*Logan's POV*

"Dude I told you if you ever hurt her..."

"I didn't!" I cut Alex off, yelling at him as I sat my guitar back on the stand next to my dresser and walked towards the end of my bed "I love your sister Alex. But I woke up this morning before she did and I left... because I felt overwhelmed. Last night she told me everything that Jacob had done and..." He was listening intently, his arms crossed over his chest "I should have protected her." Alex sighed as he glanced over at the mess that was spread across the carpet by my window. I'd broken a picture frame in frustration when I'd gotten home... a frame that held a picture of her.

"She had one of her nightmares Logan. And it was the worst I've seen since the entire thing went down..." My heart sank in my chest as his words trailed off, and I finally sat myself down on the end of my bed, my head resting in my hands. Maybe if I hadn't run off it wouldn't have happened...

"Is she alright?" I looked up, to find her standing in the doorway, the look on her face instantly answering my question.
