*Damien's POV*

I heard her crying...it was something I'd only heard a few times. Pure cries of loneliness, she didn't think we could hear, and I had to practically hold Alex back from bursting into the bathroom. When she came out, her eyes were so red, like a kid's after playing in the pool for too long.

"I got shampoo in my eyes," she laughed before shutting the door behind herself.

We'd decided to go back to that breakfast place again, and this time AB was actually decent to Kellan, but I'd still seen the occasional eye roll.

When Scarlet and Jordana came along, they were holding hands. Jordana had held my hand walking up to the restaurant, and pulled me aside while everyone else walked in.

"I came here to spend the holidays with you, Damien, but it turns out that Scarlet and I have more in common than I thought."

"Are you happy?" My breath hitched for a moment, taking in her cocoa butter lotion scent, and rubbing my thumb over her smooth palm.

She put another hand on mine and looked into my eyes. "Extremely, and honestly, this never would've happened without you. You saved me again, Damien." I smiled, holding back the slightest bit of tears.

"Ah, you're so sentimental," Jordana reached into her bag and pulled out a tissue. "Wipe your face, or you'll smear."

When I'd looked into the restaurant I noticed Natalie watching me so intensely. "What do you think about Tali?"

Jordana took in a deep breath, "I think she hates me, Damien." She laughed, "There's something fierce and strong inside that girl, masked with tragedy and mixed feelings. Did something happen between you?"

I looked back at Natalie for a moment before looking away, "We were drunk, she was...same thing that happened with you. She kissed me, and I didn't realize something was off right away. She ended up passed out in the bathroom, and we had to take her to the hospital because she wouldn't wake up. It took her a while to really come around, she's still grappling with things. Logan being gone isn't really helping matters," I sighed, "He thinks he got a girl pregnant, and he's been MIA for a few weeks. Natalie... she's, something special."

Jordana nodded, "Then you need to take care of her until your brother can come around. I get it, I'm helping Scarlet with her photography stuff anyway, don't worry about me. Thanksgiving is only in a few days."

We walked in and Kellan was joking with Natalie about some show on Netflix, "That accent, though, oh my goodness."

"What accent?" I laughed, and Natalie just smirked. Kellan sputtered a bit on his sip of coffee.

"Nothin' babe, we're just talking about a show."

"No, really, what accent?" I was actually curious now.

Kellan and Natalie looked at each other and he nodded toward me, Natalie laughed, "It's about a guy becoming a body guard for this politician, it's pretty good. He has a Scottish accent," she smirked, stirring her melting whipped cream into her hot chocolate.

"Pass the cream, won't you?" I tried in my best Scottish accent. Kellan's eyes bulged and Natalie was stunned.

"How do you know how to do that?" Kellan blurted.

"I did a commercial once, it paid really well." Before they could ask me anything more the waitress came over with some menus.

*Natalie's POV*

A few hours later we were sitting on the couch, and I had really been thinking about everything. Logan still wasn't answering my texts or calls, so I decided to scroll on the internet. We were watching tv when I decided to bring it up to Damien.
