*Natalie's POV*

My heart felt ablaze as I climaxed, and then my eyes opened and I made eye contact with Desmond. It took a moment until I realised, oh.

Oh, that was a dream.

Desmond's eyes were dark, his smile playful as I regained composure.

"Having a fun night, are you?"

"How much of that did you hear?" I asked, my cheeks warm from humiliation.

Desmond brushed a hair away from my face, "I'm getting a better idea on how you like to be touched," he whispered, his lips inches from mine.

I looked up at his face, then down at his lips, "touch me."

Our eyes locked and he furrowed his eyebrows and moved his head back, "Wait, what?"

I took his hand in mine and kissed his knuckles, whispering, "Touch me Desmond, it's okay."

"Are you sure?" He asked, waiting for my consent.

I nodded, "Yes, please."

Our breaths mingled as he brushed his hand from my cheek to my arm, down to my hands, grazing my breast, his fingers on the small of my back, down to my leg, his hand gripping the outside of my thigh on the way up, his breathing shaky.

"You feel," he sighed "soft."

"Did you want to touch me in other places?" I asked, taking his hand in mine.

He looked at me, studying my face and then pulled away slightly, "I mean, of course."

"Why didn't you?" I asked.

"I didn't really feel worthy to touch you like that, I know that you're going through things. I didn't want you to feel like... like I was taking advantage of you."

I pulled him closer, our fingers intertwining, "You're not, I'm okay."

"Yeah?" He asked, our lips only barely separated.

Desmond moved on top of me, I could feel his hard length press against me, "Is this okay?" I barely nodded and said "mhm" my body felt on fire, everything was so close together.

Before his lips could touch mine, the doorbell rang, and there were aggressive bangs at the door. Desmond made a groaning noise, burying his face in my neck, his hips pressing against mine, "Oh my god, why now?

My fingers curled into his hair, and I turned my face to his ear, "It could be important, we should see who's there."

*Desmond's POV*

Natalie decided to go to the bathroom and I headed up slowly to see who was at the door. I was talking myself down for what felt like forever before I was able to open the doors and see who was knocking bright and too early.

Captain Ripley, but his hair was disheveled and he didn't even bother parking in the driveway.

I opened the door and he tumbled in, the air was slicing cold. "Natalie, is she here?" He huffed.

"Yeah but why are you? Wait, sir what's going on? Did something happen to Alex?" He shook his head trying to slow his breathing, "Sir, you should sit down."

"I'm fine," he said, arm against the wall with his face sweaty and pale. "I heard they found a body and-"

"What?" Natalie interrupted, frozen against the kitchen counter. "Who is it? What happened?" Cap grabbed her into a hug and she patted his back while looking at me with a 'what is happening' face. I was starting to think the rumors were true.

"The description fit you, and everyone was worried about you," Ripley breathed out, "I had to get the answer for myself and then I found out you were here. You really should head home to let your brother know, I haven't had a chance to notify him."

"No, I don't want to go home."

I looked over at Ripley then at Natalie, "Natalie, they're worried about you," Captain RIpley said, handing her his phone.

She pulled her hair behind her headband, "That's just tough shit, Captain," she exclaimed. "You know the way my brother spoke to me."

"He just called me, he's very worried."

"Captain-" I interjected, "I think you should stand down on this one."

Captain Ripley looked at me with a stern look on his face, but his tone changed, it was slightly sarcastic mixed with a hint of calm. "I suppose you're right. I'll leave that to you to contact whomever you wish."

Natalie and Ripley shared some look of rebellion and control, waiting for the other person to quit or back down. Natalie let out a breath of anger and a growl.

"Oh my god, fine! If it will make you happy!" She put her shoes and jacket on, "I gotta go there for more clothes anyway." She went to go downstairs, and came back up with her purse, phone in hand. "Next time though, I'm not backing down."

"I fully understand." Ripley said. "I'll hold you to that."

She hit his shoulder as she passed by him and she came up to me, "I'll be back later, maybe we can meet up in town for lunch." Her lips brushed my cheek and I fought the urge to turn to kiss her, instead I nodded.

"Sounds good." The doors closed and he looked at me. I shrugged, "I know, she's just going through a lot right now."
