*Logan's POV*

I drove as quickly as the falling snow would let me, but I was seething. Why was she chasing him like that? Why was she only wearing slippers, I remember when she bought them.

I walked into the ER bay to see just a glimpse of where they'd taken her and then I saw him. I'd messaged Alex and Wren while I got in the car, and they were on their way. I wanted my way with him, to slam him into the pavement and beat the ever-loving lights out of him.

"You son of a bitch," I felt myself moving at an alarming pace, I made contact with his face, and he retaliated by hitting me back. I cut my lip on my teeth, shit. I pulled him outside of the waiting room entrance into the snow, and we collapsed. I hit my shoulder on a chunk of ice, before I could get up he hit me again, pinning me against the ice.

"You hit the wrong guy, buddy."

"I'm not your fuckin' buddy," I spit, grabbing him and rolling on top of him. I hit his cheek, once, twice, and he hit me in the side, and I curled to protect myself. I barely got up when he hit my face again.

"That's enough!" I heard footsteps come up behind us, and Alex pulled Desmond away, I could only assume the hands moving me away from Desmond were Wren's.

Desmond moved so quickly, and Alex hit the ground. Desmond ran up and hit me in the side again, I bent over in pain. Wren's hands dropped me onto the ground, and I saw a glimpse of him grabbing Desmond, "He's not worth it, stop! If you keep this up, Natalie's not going to want anything to do with you. If she sees you do this, you're going to scare her."

I coughed and I felt Alex's arms pull me up, "What the hell is wrong with you Logan?"

I laughed, spitting out more blood, "What's wrong with me? How about this guy, he's a fucking maniac."

"Oh, I'll show you maniac. You don't know me, I'm from New York!" I saw Desmond barrel toward me again, and before he made contact I saw Wren pick him up around his waist and hoist him over his shoulder.

"Let's go!" I heard him boom, taking him back into the ER lobby.

"Logan, what the fuck made you want to punch Desmond?"

I winced as I moved my face, "How did you know I punched him first?"

"I saw you when Wren and I were pulling up. What the hell happened?"

"I don't know, I saw them screaming at each other in the street, and I realised she wasn't wearing shoes and then I saw her collapse, so I called the ambulance."

"It was an accident," Alex said, "She probably slipped,"

"Yeah, but she was chasing after him with no shoes." I snapped, wiping the blood on my face away with my bandana. My knuckles were bruised from hitting Desmond, shit. I wouldn't be able to play for a week. My hands shook as I stuffed them back in my pockets. "I"m going to go home, just... let me know how she's doing. If she needs anything. I don't want to leave her, but you're here and so is Wren, I don't want to make her more stressed out."

Alex winced when I patted his shoulder, "He's really strong," Alex swore under his breath.

"Yeah, no kidding."

*Desmond's POV*

All I wanted to do was talk to her. I ran cool water over my knuckles as Wren watched me, I could feel his glare and looked over.

"Out with it." I mumbled, wincing as I wiped my cuts with hydrogen peroxide.
