"Scarlet needs to go home and uh... I'm taking her. Can I have the keys Logan?" I held out my palm, trying to hide the fact that it was still trembling with the looming knowledge of what Scarlet had just said to me in the bathroom of the bar.
I didn't want to believe that Logan had lied to me.
He wouldn't have done that right?
All the times we'd talked about my trust issues, about my weariness to let anyone close to me after what had happened with Jacob...
"I'll just catch a ride with Victoria after we've sobered up." He tossed the keys to me and I caught them, at the exact moment our eyes locked, and the lack of concern on his face for both me and his sister was... it was so different. He would have normally been asking me, over and over, if I was alright "Don't puke in my car." He muttered under his breath as I turned around, grabbing Scarlet where I'd left her leaned up against the wall by the bathrooms, and heading outside to Logan's Impala.

-I sat on the end of Logan's bed after helping Scarlet get settled, my hands wringing each other as I contemplated what to do. I wanted to confront him, but at the same time... I needed more proof.
I hated that I doubted him. Hated that even after all he'd done to show me that he loved me, I still thought what Scarlet had said could be true.
"Are you not staying the night?" Logan's voice jolted me out of my self reflective state, and I shook my head at him as I stood up and grabbed my jacket off the floor by his dresser "Nat? I was hoping we could..."
"I... I don't feel that great." I cut him off, slipping my jacket on and then moving to leave his room, but he stopped me by grabbing onto my shoulder, his grip immediately loosening when I flinched "I wouldn't want you catching anything with all the shows you have coming up... please... I'll call you tomorrow alright?"

-"Thought you were staying at Logan's tonight?" Alex hollered at me as I huffed and hurried past our living room, attempting to move up the stairs before he could see my face, and see that I'd been crying. It had taken me a while to convince Logan that nothing was wrong, and I was still certain he hadn't fully believed my story "Natalie?"
"I'm just tired."
"You're lying." Alex stepped into my room, but didn't actually enter all the way "What's wrong?" I tossed my bag onto the floor by the foot of my bed, finally turning around to face my brother, who was now leaning against the frame of the door.
"Scarlet said something to me tonight..." I sat down on my bed, kicking my shoes off and tucking my hair behind my ears "And I can't stop thinking about it. She was so drunk she could barely stand up but... I don't know Alex. I hate that I'm even considering that it's true..."
"Spit it out." He folded his arms over his chest, after motioning for me to continue.
"She said... she said that Logan had sex with Victoria before we started... whatever it was we started." I blinked away the few tears that had escaped "I don't want to believe that."
"I mean it only happened once... oh." He hesitated, his eyes widening when he realized how my face had immediately fallen "Nat..." I walked towards the doorway, and Alex backed into the hall as I moved to slam my door shut, but he stopped it with his hand "Please, let me explain. Logan and I..."
"You lied to me too." Alex's shoulders slumped in defeat as he let go of the door, and my heart pounded in my chest as I locked the door and backed towards my bed, until my knees hit the edge and I fell onto my back...

-*Alex's POV*
"She's asleep." Logan moved to walk past me, but I blocked his path, filling the entire front doorway with my body and shaking my head "She knows about you and Victoria man."
"Shit..."
"Shit is right. You lied to her Logan. You knew better than to do that after everything she's been through..." I trailed off, rubbing my tired eyes, and then looking back at him "You need to go. You need to take some time and..."
"I want to talk to her." Logan cut me off, running his hands through his hair "I want to talk to her so I can fix this." He fidgeted with his rings, and even took a few steps back on the sidewalk.
"I don't think that's a good idea... You promised me, remember? You promised me you weren't going to hurt her. So you need to leave." Logan didn't say a word, as he gripped his keys tightly in one hand and turned towards his car "My sister actually loved you. She probably still does... but I don't know if you can fix your fuck up this time."
