*Aeron's POV*

I'm sitting at my desk when my phone rings.

"Agent McTavish."

"Aeron." I hear the voice and it's familiar.

"Yes? This is he, who's calling?"

"It's me, Desmond." Somehow his voice sounds deeper on the phone, and his accent is definitely distinguishable.

"Sure, Desmond, what's up? Everything okay?" I ask. Everett and I make eye contact so I motion him over, he puts a cup of coffee on my desk. "Everything's fine, I'm just trying to make things up to Natalie." Everett looks at me and I think. "Do you know what kind of flowers she likes?"

"Why don't you know this?" I ask, and then Everett taps me on my shoulder. I see Natalie walking past us with Medeira so I decide to put him on hold. "Hold on, sport." I slam the phone down and shoo Everett away. I figure the only way I could distract her is to annoy her or send her on a goose chase. I decide not to do anything, just gauge her emotions and as soon as she's annoyed enough to walk away I pick up the phone again.

"You're calling because you don't know her favorite flower?"

I hear him sigh, "I'm sure you know this already but we got into it, and I'm trying to make up for it."

"Sending 'I'm sorry' flowers?" I tsk, "Not the best start here bud, you don't want to give her the impression that you only send flowers when you're sorry."

I can hear the annoyance in his voice, "Do you know or not?"

"Of course I know, I knew this on day three. All there was to do was talk when we met you know?"

I pause and hear nothing so I just decide to give him a little shit. "Do you guys ever talk or do you just get steamy in the car?"

"Hey, don't talk about Natalie like that." He sighs, "Listen, this was a mistake. Maybe I'll just call Wren instead."

"Hold on!" I sigh, "Daisies. She likes daisies, and honestly little flowers that have meaning. Look up the meanings of flowers, put that in your note. You could do with sending some snacks, roses, that kind of thing."

I can hear the hope in his voice, "It's just, there's been a lot going on, do you think she'll like these things?"

"Yes, she really loves them. If she doesn't like them, you can blame me." I say.

"Thanks, Aeron. Can you just keep this between us?" he asks.

"I will, listen if that's all I gotta go, Natalie's due back any second." Desmond hangs up and Everett smacks my arm.

"That was very nice of you," He says.

"Yeah," I nervously fidget with my pen.

"I'm sure it felt weird giving him advice about your ex."

I shake my head, "In the end I just want her to be happy. Even if it's not with me."

*Natalie's POV*

God, today's been so weird. Aeron's cryptic behavior has me thinking he's up to something, and then Jack has been staring at me all day. Something as simple as a rehersal sounded normal. I forgot I said I'd participate when Eva asked me about it last month, and then she sent me a text at lunch.

Eva: Can't wait to see you @6-bring gymwear.

Natalie: *Thumbs up* Will do!

I already promised I'd go to Ripley's house for dinner, and when I called to reschedule he was more than happy to accommodate me. I drove to the community center for the dance hall. It was a cute center remodeled when the city sold it to a developer, the old Newton High School from the 70s was old and decrepit. It took me a while to find the room, some of the hallways were confusing but the signs were helpful.
