I'd still been mulling over the spat and kiss between Logan and I, and all the feelings that had resurfaced just as fast. My senses tingled and my cheeks flushed as I thought about his kiss, him pulling me to him, his hand against my cheek.

I took a deep breath and refocused on my costume, putting the finishing touches on it.

I had spent weeks trying to master the Agent Carter hairstyle, and it was finally coming together. I decided against the hat, settling on a hairpin with a pearl on it. As I clipped it together, I heard my phone ring. I looked down to see an unlisted number, so I didn't answer. No one left a voicemail, so I kept on with my outfit.

I came down the stairs to see Alex in his 'Indiana Jones' costume. "Natalie, you look amazing!" Alex smiled and I curtsied a bit.

"I'm on my way there now, do you want a ride?" I asked.

Alex nodded, "I told AB I would spend tonight with him, we've been doing so well. I just hope nothing messes it up."

"Me too," I nodded. I waited a few more minutes for Alex to get ready, and then we were off to The Iris.

I parked in the back, studio parking was exclusive to those that rented rooms. We shuffled our way into the building and it was gorgeous. Wall-to-wall decorations, fake cobwebs, a spider hanging up on the ceiling. There was a vampire cape draped over a speaker and so many balloons. The Iris was in full swing, and I was enjoying it. I ordered a drink before walking around, sampling from the cookie walk and various treats. I laughed when Damien and Kellan fought over Damien's yankee baseball uniform, and Kellan had been wearing a red sox uniform. Frankie and Micah were in the crowd, and I'd waved at Frankie before going back to get another drink.

That's when I heard a familiar voice, "...and so that's why I'm here." Aeron.

His voice was thickly Scottish, something that usually happened when he'd had too much to drink.

It rarely happened, yet I still felt nervous all the same. He turned his head and looked at me for a second before he realized it was me, and then looked back again.

"Natalie," he waved the next drink away and stepped over to me. "It's you, you're alive," He draped his arms around me, and before I could react he kissed me. I'd had messy, drunk Aeron kisses before, but this was something else. "You know, I messed things up. I messed things up so badly, I left you-and-and-I shouldn't have done that. It's just, I was scared. That's really what it was, I was scared. But I missed my kid, she called me, and I couldn't say no, and she's a ballerina, and my son likes robots. But I missed you. So when Frankie called me, I had to make sure you were alright." He looked around, and I saw Logan over by the stage, talking to Robin. I saw him glance this way and I looked away. Aeron followed my eyes and looked back to me, "Are you with him now?"

I shook my head, "No, I'm not."

Aeron shook his head, "A shame, that is, Poor bloke always seemed to like you."

"It's complicated." I muttered.

"No, it's not." He patted my shoulder and took off in Logan's direction. I set my drink down, and tried to grab his arm but he was too fast.

Aeron's voice was booming, "LOGAN! LOGAN! HEY!" I glanced through the crowd to see Logan's reaction, and I needed to get him out of here. He'd noticed Robin next to him, and I silently cursed myself. "Oh, hello there, pretty dress. So, is this who you're with instead of Natalie? Not my first choice if I say so myself, but either way, hello I'm Aeron McTavish, nice to meet you."

Robin scoffed, "You're an asshole."

"Yes, I am. But seriously Logan, I'm surprised you're not with Natalie."
