His hair still wet from shower, he noticed Serena sitting alone and started walking towards her "hey Serena" Ash shouted getting her attention, she saw Ash and blushed intensely. "Hey Ash" she said dimly only Ash heared that. Ash walked close then sit with her "what are you doing here alone" getting her out of her trance. "Nothing I was going to eat macrons but wanted to share with you, do you wanna have some?" Serena said pushing basket of macrons towards Ash. "Yeah of course but it's breakfast time why we don't first eat that, after that these as sweet" Ash said with goofy grin which made Serena lightly blush again. "Alright then" she can't eat both but can't say no to him.
They took there breakfast and Ash also took a blanket with him and find a place with flowers around and ate their breakfast there unlike Ash who ate like there will be no food after this, Serena ate a little just as a excuse to join Ash. Then Ash removed his jacket"it's getting hot now, alright, it's sweet's time" Ash shouted finishing his breakfast which made Serena giggle.
"How can you eat so much" Serena asked shocked at his appetite. "I need energy" Ash simply said "now can we eat those" Ash said eyeing macron's basket hungrily, Serena nodded. "Yeah sure" she replied and they started to eat them. "It's delicious" Ash said munching macron which made Serena smile. "Hey Ash what about scyther, did you gave him food?" Serena asked little worried. "After leaving professor juniper's cabin, I went to him to ask for food but he said he will manage on his own" Ash replied then after a while it came to the last macron which Serena took without noticing and have a bite from it then she saw Ash still looking hungry. "You can have this" she said smiling which made Ash smile. "No you didn't ate much you can have it" Ash replied with genuine smile. "Then why don't we share it" Serena replied after thinking a little Ash nodded, she moved macron for Ash to break it but what he did made her blush hard.

He took a large bite after which only half of macron is left "there, it's all yours now" Ash said smiling stupidly.
Serena came to her senses and started to eat macron then they heard rustling in bushes near them.
"Hey Ashy boy, having picnic with your girlfriend huh?" Gary said smirking which brought back blush on Serena's face. "So what if I'm with a girl friend" Ash replied oblivious to everything which made Gary pacepalmed and Serena to relax. "Yeah whatever" Gary replied with same expression "professors were looking for you, the event is about to start". This made Ash excited "alright then let's go" Ash said running towards camp then Gary looked at Serena. "Hii my name is Gary, Gary Oak" Gary said extending his hand. "S-Serena" she replied nervously shaking his hand. "Woah you don't have to be so nervous, let's go to camp" Gary said seeing her so much nervous around him on which she instantly nodded then surprisingly "Hey what are you guys doing, hurry up" Ash shouted returning. "Hey! firstly you ran away then why returned" Gary asked surprised. "Oh I was just worried about her" Ash replied looking at Serena which made her blush. (again, seriously she blush too much) he took her hand started to run towards camp leaving Gary behind smiling mischievously.
Campsite
"Alright then, a lot of kids were not able to bring pokemon with them, now they can't take part in the event because it will be a pokemon tournament, sorry to them who can't take part in it and the winner of it will have a special gift" prof Oak announced on which some kids cheered who have pokemons with them specially Ash with Gary, Serena was happy for him and some groaned in disappointment.
"Alright then let's get started" prof Oak signalling to professors to start the event.
