IT'S COMEBACK DAY Y'ALL!!!

I'd been super pumped about this comeback since morning. It's the start of a whole new era and also, yeah, determined to, you know, (re)break some records here and there...

ANYWAYS! This is me @2:28PM LET'S GET IT BTS ARMY!!!

After 2:30PM.

IT'S OUT! BOY WITH LUV MV AND THE WHOLE MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA IS OUT!!!

From all the three comebacks that I have personally witnessed, this was the first time I was more caught up with the song than the visuals. As in the visuals were fucking great and I'll come to that in a bit, but the song is definitely my taste.

First of all, it felt like a BTS song. There were some parts that reminded me of their previous songs and the members' personal way of singing or making music. But even then, the sound is very different and refreshing! The song is quite loud but still contained in the sense that it's not overtly crazy like IDOL. I absolutely LOVED the vocal arrangement in the song!

The entire song sounds great but the pre-chorus and the chorus is WAY TOO CATCHY! I just couldn't stop humming it for the rest of the day today. And I also couldn't stop dancing cause the song just makes you feel like skipping and snapping and bopping!

I really really liked the song.

Coming to the video, I feel like it compliments the song so much! Maybe retro is not the first vibe that I get when I hear the song but it works. The scenes are bright and I love the lightings with BTS songs towards the end! The choreo is really nice too. It's a little funny at times but the members did a really good job. I especially liked the "Oh my my my" part of the choreo.

Oh and coming to the memberssssssss! Obviously I watched the MV multiple times to focus on each individual member so here are my thoughts on the 7 boys (+ Halsey)

RM's very first frame (in the background) in the MV is HILARIOUS!! I just couldn't stop laughing when I saw him. He wasn't seen or heard for most part of the song but he looked really cool during his rap at the end. Obviously the leader aura also came out in some clips.

Jin looked really handsome and cute in the video. When Halsey danced the chorus, I thought that it was V who danced next to her. But no, it was Jin! His dancing has definitely improved. His expressions during RM's verse were the best!

Ooohhhh! Suga's rap came in right after the cheery chorus and that transition is probably one of the best of this song! His rap style seems to be different this time around but it's still really good. I really liked the 🎹 background during his part. Him in that white suit tho!

Strangely, the first thing that I noticed about JHope was his hair. It's probably because of my slight obsession with hair but it looked too cute! His expressions were also really cute! You cannot talk about JHope and not mention his danceeeeeeeee! Dude he is so effortless when he dances ya!

Jimin's smile in the MV melted me at multiple points, I'm not even kidding. He looks really attractive in the MV. His expressions during the chorus were the best! He started out with the song and got me hooked! He seemed to be having a blast during the second chorus scene. He also seems to have gotten quite a lot of lines and the man delivers!

Is V in charge of BTS' charisma?! Cause he surely has that in abundance! Damn his first frame in the MV tho!🔥 His moves are strong and his expressions are too good! He seems to be have gotten quite a lot of screentime and I'm definitely not complaining!

Ahhh Jungkook.... you killed it my boy! He, without a doubt, got the most lines in this song but that's because his voice is that good. I really really liked his parts. And his dance and expressions (especially in the second chorus) were also too good! Our centre didn't disappoint us at all!
