This is actually a story idea I have with original characters. Idk if I want it on wattpad or quotev. Let me know if you like the narrative and would read that story!
STORYTIME!
Logan looked out onto the sunset, knowing full well that it was the last sunset he would ever see.
He sighed, not going to miss the world at all. The world is a cruel, unforgiving place with no redeeming qualities.
He turned back around to go back into the observatory he build from the ground up. It's time to put his plan into action.
He needs to get the only people and living creatures who actually matter into the safety chamber beforehand he blows up the entire surface world in every civilized space.
"Virgil, take the children and take the animals into the Arc Chamber. I'll be there momentarily."
His Spouse's eyes went wide, but he hung his head. It was time to say goodbye. Virgil left the laboratory and went to the house where everyone else was kept.
Virigl's Family, Logan's Foster Family from when he was a child, their friends, and all the orphans they could find. Orphans would behave if they knew they'd be loved.
Logan focused on the machinery, making sure everything was in place. To his surprise, Virgil came back into the room. He looked like a kicked puppy.
"Are you sure you really want this? The destruction of the entire world with only the theory's that we could rebirth it and make a better one?"
Logan could see the tears stinging in the eyes of his lover. Logan sighed and approached him, placing his hand on Virgil's cheek. Virgil let a tear slip out and he pressed Logan's palm against his face almost desperately.
Of course Virgil wouldn't understand. He still had compassion. He still had his naïveté. He couldn't understand that the population couldn't be saved after the green and the society they created.
Logan didn't smile, but he did give Virgil a warm kiss on the forehead to tell him everything would be okay.
"I know that everything will be okay. You will be okay. Those who are worthy will be okay. Now please go to the Arc Chamber. I'm about to throw on the Dead Man's Switch and I'm about to activate the atomic bombs."
Virgil nodded, hurrying to get everyone safe inside the shelter Logan built deep within the Earth's crust. His only wish was to destroy the surface civilization, remember?
How he was going to do it was a genetically crafted poison that will kill all humans and all species that are harmful towards humans.
Logan was going to use this to create a better world, a perfect world. A world with a society that doesn't harm anyone like the current one. He was going to play god and become Noah.
Logan activated everything, setting the poisonous gas out on the world. In three hours, everything will be dead. And in four hours the world's air will be purified so that the new world can be built.
Logan took the switch that deactivated everything in a stop just in case, and started making his way to the staircase leading to the chamber.
He made sure to barricade the door behind him, just in case. There's no way to stop it now from above. The only cancellation was in Logan's hands.
He walked downstairs to where the only people that matter were. They were scared, cowering and some crying. Logan knew they didn't need understand what a good thing this was.
Logan went immediately to his lover, who was in the corner hugging himself with sorrowful eyes. Oh, Virgil, you deserve so much better. That's why Logan was doing for this all just for you.
"It's the end of the world, Logan. I know that you're going to tell me not to be anxious and nor to be scared, but I am scared! I just can't help being scared! I'm sorry! I'm sorry...."
Logan sighed. Emotions were so icky and complicated. Logan was so grateful that he had grown numb to most of them. He had grown numb to fear, sadness, joy, and disgust. He could only feel anger and love.
It may be hard for him to comprehend why Virgil was anxious. Normally there was a reason, however with his anxiety disorder sometimes there is none, and right now was clearly one of those times.
The last thing he wants is for his beloved to have a panic attack. Logan placed his hand on the side of his face again, knowing that Virgil loved that.
"Do not be sorry for your anxiety, precious one. Your feelings are always valid. It's okay to be frightened. Here, allow me to hold you."
Virgil nodded, throwing himself into Logan's arms for comfort. Logan held him in place, making sure he was trying to calm his breathing and he was crying.
Expressing emotions is the quickest way to burn out those hormones and get rid of them. Logan is never against repressing emotions. Logan's just numb.
Logan ran his hands through his significant other's hair, cooing to him.
"Everything will be okay. I promise I won't let anything happen to you."
And he won't. He wouldn't let anything happen to the love of his life. He's the only person he actually loved with all his heart.

Don't give up on the world. There's something out there for you. There's something out there that's worth it. So never give up. I promise that there's always someone or something out there that can make you happy, even just momentarily.
