STORYTIME!

Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes, Five hundred twenty-five thousand

moments so dear. Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes How do you measure, measure a year? In daylights, in sunsets? In midnights, in cups of coffee? In inches, in miles? In laughter, in strife In five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes, How do you measure a year in the life?

How about love?

Logan hadn't understood the benefits of being in a relationship for the longest time. It wasn't until February of last year didn't he discover that  gay male could have a productive relationship even if he cannot conceive children with his partner of choice. On February Thirteenth of 2019 he met a man named Deceit, oddly enough. The name captivated him and he seemed to have quite the intellect, so Logan agreed to meet up with him again tomorrow when they both had no prior engagements. That next day, Valentine's Day, was the start of what the two men would be sharing.

Spring began and the two spent more and more time together. Logan opened his mind to new philosophical and moralistic beliefs that his newfound partner. They would walk in the park and go out for some tea and look at the gardens, making it a game to see who of the pair could recognize the most of the flora by scientific name. March was very... domestic to say in the least. As was April, for the rain kept the pair inside reading books and drinking hot tea for most of the days. May was also quite domestic, being nearly the exact same as March.

But then came June. Logan and Deceit had been together for just how long then? Maybe half over three months. That meant the Summer was here and so was Pride Month. Deceit took Logan to a pride parade and took him to see some fireworks on July First. Not July Fourth because guess what? Canada Pride! Well, he also took Logan to see some on the fourth as well because they live in America. Deceit is Canadian, and he loved the idea of moving back some day after he gets everything sorted out with his family and finances.

July, August, both were gone in a flash and now September was begining. Even though, logically, having a favorite month is quite... aimless when you could just ask for someone's favorite season and the point gets across much quicker. Uh, figuratively. Regardless of the literary word vomit, September was Logan's favorite month. The Serendipity of the trainquil autumn cooling down the blistering summer, turning both the leaves and the air crisp and preparing the Earth for  blanket of cold. Watching that transition from Summer to Autumn was magic every time, and it saddened Logan to see it go When October arrived. But that also meant Halloween and pumpkin spice lattes and Deceit's amazing pecan pie he can make.

Then November went by quick. Many novels and dares in the library passed them by as time was nonexistent. December brought merriment and festivities. There was a whole new meaning to the holidays now that Logan had someone to share them with. Mistletoes, gift giving, it all had much more meaning than Logan could ever hypothesize. And now it's January First, the fireworks having been fired and the sky already bright with the sun's shine. A dim warmth covered the snow.

Logan sat on the porch of his house with a closed novel he had read over and over and over once more. It always seemed to have the man intrigued, captivated, figuratively caught by the hook and forced to read It to satisfy his hunger for literature. Was the story that superb? Or was it because the sentimental value of the book? Alas, Logan has to be factual and admit it was the latter of the two. It was the same book Logan was reading when he met Deceit.
