I completely forgot this was a thing! Alright... let's roll!
STORYTIME!
Okay so once upon a time when Virgil was a dark side he kinda sorta was in a romantic, stress on the world romantic, relationship with Remus. You must be thinking: "Virgil what did you even see in that goblin man?!" Well... Remus was actually perfect. He was a literal Gomez Addams and would treat Virgil like a Morticia. He would kiss his fingers and talk to most pleasant of dreary metaphors to him. He did go off the deep end often, but Virgil never minded. He, himself, was the one thing he missed about the dark side of the mind. Though, he didn't like believing that he was a mental disorder just like everyone thought Remus was.
Virgil sighed, sulking in his room. That one look Remus gave him during his visit, him offhandedly mentioning the old times... Virgil missed it. Remus, not Deceit. Deceit was a bitch. Virgil looked at his knuckles, looking at his nails. He used to cares so much about his nails and fingers, now he couldn't care less. Maybe he should give himself a manicure and do his nails again, for old time's sake. Virgil hummed In delight as he turned to his desk to find a bottomless of black nail polish with a green ribbon tied around it and a brand new nail file. Virgil picked up the note next to it.
"I know you're going to want to fix up your nails after seeing me against, Virgil. You may look like a lesbian bottom when you make your nails all pretty, but you're beauitful with them. Making your nails make the raven's tailfeathers jealous. There are some under the bottle for comparison!
Forever your Duke
~Remus"
Virgil snickered at the gay joke. Remus somehow made a sexual pun that made Virgil laugh. Those never worked before, but the lesbian bottom thing? That's funny. Virgil lifted the small nail polish bottle and two raven feather so fluttered down to the desk, the size of fingernails. Of course. Remus alwahs lives up to his word. Virgil smiled warmly, filled with admiration and nostalgia. Virgil took the nail file and saw some words carved into it. "You'll always be MY bottom" well, uh, great. That's definitely Remus in a nutshell.
Virgil finished doing his manicure and nails, admiring his work as they dried. Just for fun, he held up the feather against the nails. It was a perfect match size wise, not so much texture wise. He suddenly imagined his finger nails as black feathers. For some reason this intrusive thought didn't shock him as much as they used to or how much they did over the nights. He was actually expecting it. He turned around in his swivel chair to see Remus, leaning against the doorway wearing a deep green variation for Gomez's suit. He whistled, Virgil suddenly being thrown in a black gown much more modest than Morticia's. So Remus was a considerate man to him after all this time.
"How long has it been since we waltzed, Virgil?"
The normally messy, silly, and perverted Duke extended a hand formally towards Virgil, wriggling his eyebrows with a wild look in his eye. Virigl's heart began to race in a more pleasant way. He grinned wide, understanding the reference. While Roman was the Disney reference mastermind, Remus knew every tim burton movie and creepier movies like the back of his hand. Virgil placed his hand calmly in Remus's, deciding to play along with his game. He didn't know why, but there was something about Remus that made him want to play into his fears. It scared him.
"Oh, it's been hours Remus."
He chuckled, knowing that Virgil still had it. Remus took Virgil's hands and kissed all over his fingers and knuckles, watching the emo giggle from the ticklish sensation from his mustache. Remus noticed how he didn't shy away or react in a hostile fashion like he did before any time he tried to visit him after joining the light sides. Mayhaps... Virgil was warming up to him again? Mayhaps he was remembering all the good father than the bad? Remus hopes that was the case. Remus wants his wife back.
Remus took Virgil's hands in his and began leading him in a waltz, with a single step turning his entire room into a deep green ballroom. Vines and octopus tentacles wrapped around the marble pillars and the floor became a dark cobblestone infested with silverfish. The moon and starlight trickled in through a broken window. This tower used to be their happy place, this tower Remus had teleported the pair to in his part of the imagination. Virgil finally realized where he was, eyes as wide as dinner plates. Remus grinned, not faltering. Come on, Virgil, we can't turn back now! We have already come so far!
"Do you remember this place, Virgil? This is our castle. Would you give this disgusting, stinky man the honor of-"
Virgil unlaced his fingers, stepping away from Remus and looking down at himself. The dress was gorgeous, the skirt reaching all the way down to the floor and giving him enough room for his legs to be apart and you wouldn't even notice. There were no sleeves, but long black fingerless gloves stretched from his hand to his mid-bicep. He wore a choker and a golden necklace that bore the constellation of Sagittarius. Remus remembered that to. But what was Virgil doing? Remus was the enemy now, right? Should he be with him right Now? His pulse was quick, his blood was hot, what does he do? Remus looked so heartbroken it felt like an arrow to the knee. Virgil immediately regretted pulling away from the man who was his first love.
"Remus... I'm sorry. I really shouldn't have overreacted. That's all I do after all, right? I overreact to everything. Ha ha... But yeah. I do remember this place. It was ours, wasn't it?"
Virgil slowly walked back up to Remus, regaining the closeness that they had lost. Seeing the light renter Remus's eyes put Virgil at ease. It was almost like being told he did a good job for once and given a thank you for being on guard. That's why he loved Remus. He never was scolded by him for, well, being him. Remus actually praised him for being him, even if that meant being the bad guy. There were no hard feelings at the end of the video. Well, maybe after the reveal, nit when Thomas accepted Virgil's past everything was okay.
Remus took Virgil's hand and led him to the window, which he punched the wall to make wide enough for the two of them. Worry not, it will regenerate once the two leave. The moon and the stars and the twilight was so pretty. It was always night in Remus's domain, just as it was always day in Roman's. It was a Celestia and Luna kind of deal. Remus took Virgil and leaned his head on his shoulder, just as they always did. Virgil closed his eyes, letting himself enjoy this.
"Do you think... could we do this again? I'm sorry I was too much and I scared you off. I promise I won't do it again! I just really miss you and-"
"Remus, shut up. You were not and never will be too much. Okay scratch that, you are a whole lot too much. But I just got to learn to deal with that. There isn't no reason for you to hide yourself and stop being yourself for my sake. Yes, you scared the hell out of me when you showed up out of nowhere and gave us that nightmare about killing our own brother, I mean Thomas but you get it, but that's okay. I just need to adjust. I need to learn not to be so... so... God I hate that word so much. It makes me feel like a mental disorder..."
Remus knew the word. Virgil knew the word. It was the name that Deceit had given him when he was first born, a dead name to him: Paranoia. Virgil didn't clench his fists or struggle upon hearing that word in his mind, it would break his nails. He didn't lift his head from Remus's shoulders and he didn't bother to open his eyes. He just smiled, feeling Remus stare at him waiting for him to say the magic words. Okay, you big goofball. You win. Virgil will say it.
"You will always be my Gomez."

It's eight thirty at night and I need to sleep soon but I have a sprained ankle that hurts like all hell and my medicine hasn't kicked in yet.... great.
But yeah, never suppress parts of yourself to make others happy. If you want friends and family, they should love you for the entirety of yourself or else they don't really love you. Never be afraid to be you, because who you are is beautiful and amazing and deserves to be respected. I really want to add a lot more words onto this, but it is as simple as that. Your family and friends are the people who love you for all of who you are, not just the sum of your best parts. People who truly love you love your flaws and all.
