I made sure to do my research. I hope I did this right!

There's a boy in Patton's Highschool that he has a crush on. Of course, it had to be one of the most popular kids in the entire school: Roman Hamilton! Great job, Patt. But he isn't discouraged! No no no! That just means it will be even more of a challenge to befriend this guy! And challenges are supposed to be super duper fun! ...right? So now Patton had a challenge with love as well as juggling school and his part time job at his grandfathers' flower shop!
Since Patton is a flower wizard, and he thinks that Roam would Definately be a Rose and considering he's in the school's Thester Troupe and on the Varsity Baseball Team (seriously, like how???) he'd love a flower that's well know and filled with so much passion and beauty. Patton wanted to start off as a friends, and maybe just maybe build a relationship. So before he left for school this morning, he used a fourth of his allowance to buy a yellow rose from the store.
Yellow roses are represenitive of a platonic bond. Friendship, simple joy, and wanting to get to know a person better. That's what Patton wants! He'd not one of those shallow people who only falls in love with someone for their looks or talents. He wants to fall in love with all of Roman! He has to know who Roman is before all of that Silly!
So Patton got on the bus, cradling the yellows flower in his lap and protecting it from getting crushed. Patton would get really sad if the flower even lost one petal! That's how emotional he is. And that's also how much he cares for the flowers. Flowers were his whole childhood and what he planned to do with his life. His Moms and Dad all have office jobs and stuff like that, it's not a life Patton wants. He plans on taking over his Grandfathers' flower shop.
"Woah, That's a very pretty flower Patton, who's it for?"
A really quiet and anxious kid from Patton's art class who happened to sit behind him on the bus: Virgil, peered over the seat with one of his AirPods out. He stared at the vibrant yellow rose, perfect for a Xanthophile just like Patton. Patton's really smart friend Logan taught him that one! Patton grinned, ready to explain. He loves talking to Virgil. He's such an anxious little baby wnd he always listened to Patton's ramblings. He's also Aro/Ace And is Patton's son.
"Just someone I want to be friends with! Remember when I told you that yellow was my favorite color? Yellow roses mean friendship! That's why I love yellow so much!"
Virgil noddd understandingly, leaning back in his chair so he can stare out the window some more and listen to whatever punk emo band was blaring in his ears. Patton didn't mind. He had his seat mate to talk to whenever they get on the bus. Oh wait, never mind. Patton forgot that Dee had dropped out so they could deal with family issues involving their unsupportive family and living with their boyfriend Remus. Oh well. As long as they end up in a better place.
Patton got to school and hurried to get to the boys' locker room. All sports have practice before school so when the bell rings for people to start getting to classes, they all have to come in, shower, and change. That's where Patton left the Yellow Rose. He stuck it in the locker he knew was Roman's thanks to Logan (also on the track team), and he left in a hurry so he could go talk to Logan and Virgil in the cafeteria.
During the transition period to the third class of the day, he saw Roman wearing the yellow rose in his hair like an accessory. The stem was clipped off and he was smiling brighter than the color of friendship. Did he read the note that came with the flower? Patton didn't sign his name, but he made sure he could easily tell it was him. Nobody else in the school wears a blue polo and gray cardigan!
They locked eyes.
Patron felt his face flush as he grinned his best grin and gave Roman a small wave.
