I'm still unfathomedly angry at the fact that Roman is the least popular side. GIVE HIM MORE LOVE!!!!
Also I was in the middle of writing this when Thomas made the Royal Post on Instagram so I was so sh00k like "DiD i PrEdIcT iT!?"
STORYTIME!
"Is... is it over? Is it finally over?"
The prior antagonist asked, pushing his bangs off from his eyes in disbelief, tears welding up in the corners. Those tears weren't of defeat, melancholy, nor pain. No. These tears were of joy and rejoice that they were finally done. The evil that plagued his life was finally gone. He can be happy and free now. The beast was vanquished and Virgil cried. He no longer had to be the bad guy. That's not how the story goes anymore.
"Yes, yes it is! We have done it! We have triumphed in the face of Evil! We won Virgil! We won!"
Roman lunged towards Virgil, embracing him and holding him up like some sort of prized possession he admired. The two enemies that have joined forces to defeat the Viper King and the Corrupt Duke. His eyes shimmered, reflecting the sunset just behind Virgil. Virgil felt his face flush and a smile overcome himself. No more tyranny, only justice and love. Roman put Virgil down, still gazing into his eyes while fondness clouded his own. Virgil cast his eyes to the floor, laughin nervously as he spoke.
"I can't believe I actually might get a happy ending..."
Virgil grew up and love doing his whole life being told he would never get a happily ever after, that he could never be a hero, and that he was always going to be evil. But... He wasn't. Roman helped him see the light and gave him the chance to redeem himself for everything he has ever done wrong. By taking down his former comerades and family he reset his destiny, and maybe just maybe his destiny could be something more than just an antagonist.
However he suddenly felt himself pushed dowanwards on his shoulders. He snapped his attention back to Roman, whose smile was completely gone and replaced with the most serious look Virgil had ever seen on him. Roman grabbed Virgil's shoukders, forcing the purple aestheticed man to stare him in the eyes.
"Believe it. You are an amazing man who had overcome so much. Through your struggles you faced many trials and proved your worth not only to me, but to the world. You are more than deserving of a happy ending. You deserve a happy ending. We deserve a happy ending. Nothing will ever change that and I vow on my life that's I shall not let anything ruin your happy ending for the rest of our days."
Virgil was confused as to why Crown Prince Roman Of Hephaevania slid his hands down his arms, releasing the pressure and gently holding them into his own. Virgil gasped, feeling the sting of tears weld up once again as he saw Roman bend down on one knee. His charming, undefeatable, gorgeous smile spread across his lips as he kissed his beloved's knuckles, speaking with pure, genuine love.
"Virgil, would you make me the happiest man in the entire realm and become my King? Until death do us part, through sickness and health, and through trials and tribulations. Will you be my love for as long as we both shall live?"
Virgil gasped, Roman letting Virgil's hands slide out of his own so he could cover his mouth. A single tear rolled down his left eye, curving around the inevitable smile on the post-antihero's face. Virgil felt his entire body grow warm, his heart start to accelerate, and his face burn hotter than then like greem fire that the Duke would spit at him. He bend down to get onto Roman's level, talking to him as an equal rather than a prince. He reached his fragile, pale hand forward and caressed the crown Prince's cheek. His facial expression said enough, and the whisper he had confirmed it verbally.
"I do, my love."
Roman finished writing the short story, wrapping it up in a beautiful binding in which the cover is in ouroke sequence, however if you slide the sequences upwards then the color goes from purple to red. Roman knows how much Virgil absolutely adores these kinds of things, considering that he has a million of them in his bedroom. Roman closed the book and rolled his wrists, trying to get them to pop. He had been writing forever now and finally his story was done. He compressed a rose using the magic of the mind space and hid it in the page, a chcolate diamomd rinf hidden in the center of the Rose.
Roman walked down the hall and carefully slide the book underneath there he door to Virgil's room. What? It's not like he was proposing! He already did that and Virgil said the proposing every year on their anniversary was kind of boring. Roman knows how Virgil enjoys his stories. It's kinda like Alexander Hamilton and Eliza. Or more like Orpheus and Eyridice in Hadestown. Yep, that's a much more accurate musical reference. Why? Because it establishes how one isn't comoletelt dependent on the other. Seriously, Eliza through Act 1 was adorable but she needed to assert herself!
Virgil noticed the book when he got out of his bed to go charge his phone after going on a meme-binge. He knew it was their anniversary, so he recharged himself in his solutude for the afternoon so during the evening he would have enough energy to do whatever his boyfriend/husband/whatever you want to call their relationship had planned. Virgil picked uo the book, noticing a heart was made in the sequence cover. Red heart in purple. Virgil laughed quietly, opening the book to begin the first chapter of Roman's fantasy romance novel starring Virgil and Roman as themselves.
It didn't take Virgil too long to get to the end. He saw the tiny rose patch and pressed it, the patch turning into a rose. A ring fell out. Seriously Roman? Another ring? Well, this one was different. It was made out of chocolate diamonds. Brown was such an underrated color. Roman must have listened to his rant to Logan and Deceit why Brown and Orange should be appreciated more. Virgil slipped the ring onto his finger, admiring the gemstone, when he noticed Roman standing in the doorway with a bouquet of lavender flowers and a giant smile on his face.
"Welcome to your happy ending, love."
Ha ha, of course. He directly made a reference to his own story. Virgil got up from his reading spot and walked over to Roman, lightly tugging him into a hug. The flowers were almost crushed, but that didn't matter. They were imaginary flowers. They could always conjure new ones. Virgil snuggled his head into Roman's chest, letting out a deep, relaxed sigh. Roman was always so warm. It felt really really nice.
"Happy anniversary, Roman. I love you."
"And I love you more, Star, until death do we part for the rest of our days~"

Why am I so bad at writing recently? It's like can't do anything long nor good and I feel horrible for giving you guys content worse than what you deserve.
Find your story. It doesn't have to be extravagant, it doesn't have to be happy all the time, it doesn't have to be sad all the time, just let your life be a story. There's always a plot twist, always a setback, always something in a book that happens. Don't let that stop you. Only you decide when your story ends, because even when you die your story lives on woth those who love you.
Internet hugs and blow kisses
