Nick
As soon as Amelia mentioned she was in a bubble bath trying to relax, my little friend got excited. You know what I mean.
As soon as I sent the message telling her to facetime me, I felt like a total loser. Who says that? I quickly sent a 'jk' to cover my tracks.
She told me she would facetime me when she got out and that excited me even more. I was just sitting next to Zion, listening to him bash some other players that teamed up with him on fortnite.
"Amelia is going to facetime me in a minute," I spoke.
"Oh, shit dude, that's cool. Is Ali with her?" Zion asked without even taking his eyes off of the television screen.
"I am pretty sure." I actually had no idea. I hoped she would be. They were always together anyway. I was pretty sure they lived together too. My phone began to vibrate in my hand making me jump a little.
"Dude." I nudged Zion beside me and shoved my phone in his face.
"That's not even them bro," he said glueing his eyes back on the screen.
I brought the phone to my face and read a text from Austin saying he was staying with Ansley tonight and was gonna miss our studio time.
I shrugged it off and scrolled through my phone. Amelia texted me she was out of the bath and getting dressed. I mentioned it to Zion and told him to hurry up.
"Dope, let me finish this run real quick," Zion said while smashing his buttons uncontrollably trying to kill the last member of the other team.
Once he finally did, we both went to the kitchen to get some lunch.
I made myself a sandwich and grabbed a bag of chips out of our cabinet. I walked over to the couch and sat down while Zion played some music from his phone.
He fell on the couch next to me and went to stick his hand in my bag of chips. I snatched it away from him and looked at him like he was insane.
"Hell nah, go get your own," I chuckled at him with a mouth full of chips.
                              "Bro," he whined.
I was about to come back at him when my phone started to buzz. My stomach dropped as I picked it up and quickly answered it. Sure, enough it was Amelia.
                              Amelia
Nick immediately answered the facetime call. I don't know if I was nervous to talk to Nick or just excited. I liked him a lot. I kind of wanted him to mention the Miami thing to me also. I wanted to make it look like I wasn't inviting myself, you know? Before I could get a word in, Alison jumps beside me on the bed and screams Zion's name.
                              "Zion! What's up, babe?"
"Nothing much, why didn't you text me back?" he said while shoving his phone screen into the camera lens.
"She just woke up from a nap. She fell asleep while studying," I laughed.
"Damn, I better be glad I am not in school right now. I would probably be failing," Zion laughed but continued, "Did you tell her the good news?"
My heart fluttered with joy. I looked at Nick on the screen and his smile kind of faded when I said yes. He nudged Zion, which made him blurt out, "Oh sorry, Nick really wanted to tell you himself."
I felt my face get a little red to Zion's comment. It was sweet that Nick wanted to tell me himself. I wondered why he didn't just want to text it to me?
"So, are you going to come down?" Nick directed his question toward me.
I sat up on the bed and crossed my legs while placing the phone down onto our desk so the boys could see both of us.
"Of course," I said and smiled.
"We just need a date," Alison responded.
"Oh, I will give you a date," Zion laughed.
I knew exactly what they would want to do if we met up with them. I would hope I would be doing the same thing with Nick too.
Now that Alison was officially single, and her and Zion were talking, she wouldn't hold back at all. If she was even holding back in the first place.
"We should be getting our schedule in a few days for the upcoming months. I will definitely let you know," Nick reassured while smiling at me.
"Also, Edwin was kinda into Emily the other night. He was bummed when she got sick." Zion turned the phone toward him.
"That is super cute. We will have to let her know. She might want to come with us to Miami." Alison raised her eyebrows in a funny manner.
We all laughed and continued to talk for the next hour and a half until the boys had to go to the studio.
For the rest of the night, I reviewed the topics for my personal essay in my creative writing class and Alison stuck her nose back in her history book. I was stoked that I only had one more easy final left, and I was so ready for this weekend. With the pregnancy scare I had, I was about to let loose.
I write better at night so that's why the updates have been so late!
I've finally caught up with my school work so we should have a bunch of chapters this weekend.
Check out my new story as well "Grown"! It's gonna be a good one.
