Okay, so this is what I imagined the foyer to look like in Amelia's dads house. Of course with the walls a maroon color. But picture the rest what you would like!
Amelia
In the last week of August, we were on a plane to California. We left Emily at home this time. Her and Edwin had grown apart over the remainder of the summer. It was sad to watch, but what was weird was she started to hang out with Sydney. She kind of grew apart from Alison and I as well. It was okay though, Alison chose to stay home with me most nights rather than go with Emily to the club.
Alison and I kept pretty busy as well, we took two minimester classes each for the month of July. That knocked out about half a semester for both of us. Although, we only had two more semesters left. We both took our public speaking class online, it was a lot of work and speeches in the amount of one month, but we both made A's, so we were happy.
We both agreed to take an extra class for the fall semester so we could graduate in December. That way, we would both be done and graduated by the time I had the baby. I would just be pregnant as fuck walking across the stage but I didn't care. I just needed to graduate. The baby was due sometime around the end of January. My doctor changed the due date to January 24th during my last appointment because I wasn't as far along as they thought I was.
After a long and uncomfortable plane ride with turbulence from hell, we finally arrived in California. Once I saw the familiar red sunglasses on my father and chains around Nick's neck, I sprinted over to them. I didn't really know who to hug first, so I ran in between them and pulled them both to me.
"Hey sweetie, how was the flight?" my dad asked, letting me go.
"Uncomfortable, but okay I guess," I stated while pulling him in for a tight hug.
I went in to hug Nick next, he seemed to be so happy.
"Look at you, you've gotten so big!" he exclaimed, referring to my belly.
"If I wasn't extremely happy to see both of you, I would punch you in the gut for saying that to me, but I get what you mean, Mara," I teased and wrapped my arms around his torso squeezing lightly.
My hormones had been out of wack lately so I was glad I was able to let his comment go. I knew what he meant anyway. I couldn't deny the fact that I was really starting to show.
"Oh shit, I'm sorry. I missed you so much," he spoke into my hair.
"Ahem, can we please go? I love both of you, but I'm ready to see my boo." Alison tapped her foot jokingly.
We let go of our embrace and grabbed our bags. The airport was super busy, it being a Saturday and all, so it took us a minute to navigate through the crowds and to the exit.
"I'm going to go get the truck, stay here," my dad said and motioned with his hands for us to stay put while he entered the parking garage.
"Has anything interesting happened since we left?" Alison asked Nick.
"Nothing much, we've gotten a lot of positive feedback from our new album. We hosted a party to celebrate and it was a big one. We've already sold over twenty thousand albums in the midst of a month or so," he stated hesitantly, seeming to dance around the mention of the party.
I knew they were going to have some kind of party to celebrate, although I wish I could've been there to celebrate with them, I trusted the boys.
Soon enough we were pulling through a fancy fence with a 'P' on it and into a very nicely paved driveway.
"No way. Dad are you kidding me?" I said, practically shocked at the sight of his huge mansion.
I had never seen anything like it.
"Nope," he laughed while parking the truck.
"Let's go, I'll show you around," he stated nonchalantly while stepping out of the truck.
He and Nick carried our luggage through the massive front doors and set them down in the foyer. This house was unbelievable. I thought the boys house was nice, but no. Apparently my dad had a lot of money.
Inside, the walls were a light maroon shade with subtle dark brown furniture scattered around and against the walls. As I gazed deeper into this beautiful home, I was met with a spiral staircase with wooden stairs that lead up to the second floor. Catching my eye at the top of the stairs was a beautiful chandelier.
"Wow," I muttered under my breath.
"We're staying here for a week?" Alison stuttered out almost speechless.
"Yes ma'am. Is it okay?" my dad asked suddenly concerned.
"Dad, it's perfect. Thank you for letting us stay here." I replied and wrapped my arms around him for a hug.
"Anything for you," he kissed the top of my head.
Once we got finished with the massive house tour, Alison was more than ready to head over to the boys house, which was surprisingly only ten minutes away from my fathers.
"Babe, I missed you so much!" Alison shouted as she ran into Zion's arms.
"Same," he said while grabbing her face and bringing it to his for a long kiss.
"Alright, alright. Enough of that," Nick said while scrunching his nose and pulling me into him by my shoulders.
"Hey! I thought I heard you guys down here, how are you?" Ansley smiled as she jogged down the stairs and hugged the both of us.
"Good," I replied happily.
"Wow, he's getting so big! How far along are you now?" she asked while pressing her hand gently to my belly.
"Fourteen weeks, I believe," I laughed.
"He's getting bigger everyday," Nick interjected.
"I can't wait to meet him, he is going to be so loved," she smiled excitedly.
"We are trying to convince her to move here in January, either with her father or I was thinking about getting a place," Nick trailed off.
I was surprised, not only to the mention of moving to California which hadn't been discussed yet, but the fact that Nick just mentioned getting a place together. That was an extremely big step for us to take. Was I ready for that? I'd always wanted to travel with Alison after we graduated to find where we wanted to carry out the rest of our lives, but I didn't think that it would be decided for me.
It was my choice.
I'm sick. Send help.
And let's talk about Nicks BDE??? Okay daddy. (Let me stop).
Vote and comment!
