Amelia
The next few days flew by. I finished my last final essay and spent the next day laying by the campus pool turning my skin a shade of red.
It was running close to four o'clock, so I was impatiently waiting on Alison and Emily to get done shopping and come home. We were all going out tonight, and I was more than ready to get wasted. Finally, Alison barged through the door with a ton of bags.
"Did you buy the whole damn store?" I joked, getting up to help her sit all of the bags down.
"Ha-Ha, very funny," Alison laughed.
"We got some cute outfits for tonight," Emily stumbled in behind Alison. I raised my eyebrows and began to dig into the bags.
"Where did y'all go?" I asked Emily.
"Pier Park," she replied.
I should've gone with them, but I was well into tanning or should I say, getting burnt.
"You look a little red, Mela," Alison laughed while holding up some of the shirts to me.
"Yeah, I know. I baked a little too long," I laughed and shrugged my shoulders.
"So, I was thinking we could go to our favorite Mexican restaurant and see Daniel while we pregame," I suggested to the girls while they were putting together their outfits of the night.
"Great idea, we haven't seen Daniel in a hot minute. I am sure he would love to see his favorite customers," Emily giggled.
Daniel is the owner of a popular Mexican restaurant in Panama City and he just happens to be the best bartender ever.
During our school breaks and occasionally on weekends, we would always find our way to his restaurant and get drunk. He tells us all the time how we are his favorite customers. Probably because we tip him and order a ton of drinks in one sitting.
Typically, when one of us wants to start out the night at Daniel's restaurant, it means were all about to get shit-faced.
I stepped into the bathroom after letting my curling iron heat up and began to curl my hair. Alison bought this beautiful black and white print dress that I luckily managed to snatch away before they had the chance to. Black was one of my favorite colors, and it happened to look awesome on me. I think it really brings out my tan. I slipped it on after I finished with my hair and decided on some black color sandal wedges. Alison stepped out of the bathroom with her blonde hair in loose waves and a tight crop-top with high-wasted black shorts.
Next, Emily put on a skintight burgundy jumper, which if I might say, made her look completely hot. I never liked jumpers, but Emily was the type of girl to pull them off though. It was Emily's turn to pay for the Uber, so she ordered it and a few minutes later we found ourselves climbing in and heading out.
Once we ended up at Daniel's restaurant, we all jumped out and headed inside. The minute we stepped in, Daniel popped out of the kitchen and greeted us with 'There are my girls' and hugs. It was Friday night, so the restaurant was pretty busy.
We stole some seats at the bar and ordered drinks. Daniel made them for us, so we knew they were going to be strong. He wasn't one to hold back on the liquor, or in our case, tequila.
Once we were handed our Pink Margaritas, we started a drinking competition. We all three began to gulp down our Margaritas with Alison in the lead, Emily in second place and me lagging behind with a burning throat.
"Come on Amelia, what's with you tonight, honey?" Daniel asked from the bar.
I always won our chugging contests. I was kind of shocked as well that I was doing so horrible. Daniel got the whole bar to chant 'chug' with us as we all finished our drinks.
"Another round!" Emily yelled.
Daniel smiled and began making us more drinks. The more alcohol I consumed, the wilder my thoughts ran. I realized the last time I had spoken to Nick, he was in the recording studio, but that was earlier today. I pulled out my phone willingly ready to drunk text him. Although I was aware of my drunken state, I refused to let myself sound drunk over text message. Before I could read over the text message, I had typed I hit send.
"Damnit," I whispered under my breath.
I read over the sent message as it read, "Hey handsom, how is it going." Shit, I forgot the 'e' at the end of handsome. He is definitely going to know I was drunk. It wasn't even ten here in Florida yet. Time was going by so slow, but yet fast. We got to the bar around eight, so it had already been two hours. What? Okay, enough math Amelia, drink, focus on your drink. With that thought, I picked up my drink and gulped the rest, not even feeling it go down.
We ended up leaving the bar a few minutes later after we all finished our goodbyes with Daniel. We promised we would be back next weekend. I pulled out my phone in the Uber and it was already ten-thirty.
I pulled up the text messages between Nick and I only to find that he had texted me back. I smiled to myself as I read his message. 'I hear you are having fun. Be careful and have a great night.' He heard? Great, Alison must be texting Zion.
I turned over to Alison who was sitting in the back of the Uber with me and nudged her. "Did you tell the boys we were drunk?" I slurred trying to sound as sober as possible.
"No, but I told Zion," she smiled.
I figured the least.
"Oh, okay," I replied.
"You look super hot, lean up against the window and let me take a picture of you," Alison slurred while grabbing my phone out of my hands.
I backed up and leaned back on the door of the Uber and posed for the camera. I posed awkwardly while I heard her take a few. She handed my phone back to me while fawning over how cute I looked.
"Thanks sis, wow, these really do look good," I smiled, proud of how well I modeled.
I picked one out and posted it on my Instagram with the caption 'ready for a wild night.' (Up top)
I immediately started to get notifications of likes on my picture. I hadn't really gotten on Instagram since we went to the PrettyMuch show, but I was still getting tags and follows out of no where.
With that, we all climbed out of the Uber which had pulled up in front of Club LaVela. I let out the breath that I was holding in as I started to speak.
"We're home!" Alison laughed.
We checked into the club, got our wristbands and immediately went to the outside bar.
As we pushed our way through the club and loud music, I remembered the night that I met Nick. I wished he was here tonight. I knew he was across the United States though.
Once we got to the bar, we ordered two rounds of shots and downed them. This was going to be a night I wasn't going to remember, and I was completely okay with that.
I have learned I write best at night. Lol.
The tour I finally over all except NOLA. What show did you go to?
Don't forget to like, comment and share!
