Chapter 40

Don't look back, I dare you

Ryujin POV

Ryujin arrived at the company exactly at 4:55 pm. She sighed knowing nakahabol siya sa oras and may five minutes pa siya before maguwian ang mga intern sa kumpanya ni Ms. Kim.

Ms. Kim is really a huge successful entrepreneur. Ryujin thought.

Napatingala ito sa mamahaling glass type design ng kumpanya pagkatapos niyang magwalk in at magkunwaring mag iinquire lang for the internship.

Naglakad ito papunta sa lobby at napansin naman siya bigla ng receptionist. "Hello, ma'am. You look like a student. Looking for an internship?" the receptionist gladly asked.

Ryujin shook her head and quickly proceeded to her plan. "I'm just.. looking for a person who is currently working to the company. Her name is Moon Byulyi." Ryujin pointed straight.

Wala naman siyang ibang pakay dito kundi sunduin lang ang jowa niya pauwi.

Ryujin has to do this, kung kinakailangang maging mahigpit at bantayan ang jowa niya 24/7 then walang makakapigil sakanya na gawin 'yon.

Kasi kung hindi, more or less may possibility na tuluyan na nang maagaw sakanya si Byul.

"Oh. I'm very sorry pero hindi kami pwedeng maglabas ng information outside the company, especially when it is regarding to a person currently working here. It's very confidential." the receptionist said and naintindihan naman ni Ryujin ang sinabi niya.

Before turning around, the receptionist approached her again. "But you still can wait since maguuwian narin naman, baka makita mo siyang lumabas."

Ryujin smiled at the receptionist and turned around para umupo sa waiting shed at magsimulang tignan ang mga taong lalabas ng kumpanya.

Not long after that, Ryujin saw a familiar face, kalalabas lang nito ng elevator at naglalakad na palabas ng kumpanya.

She ran towards her at nang nasa likod na siya ni Byul, maingat na sinabayan ni Ryujin ang lakad niya.

Almost stepping out of the company, natigilan si Byul nang biglang may nagtakip ng mga mata niya. "Ms. Kim? You really do like playing games, huh? Ayaw mo kong pauwiin." napangisi si Byul, guessing it was Ms. Kim.

Her heart dropped. Napabitaw bigla si Ryujin sa pagtakip ng mga mata ni Byul dahil sa sobrang gulat.

A race of uncontrollable thoughts suddenly came flashing to her mind.

The possibilities, na matagal na ngang may nangyayari sa dalawa. Unti unti ay palaki ng palaki ang hinala ni Ryujin sakanila.

"Ano?" Ryujin said in disbelief at hindi talaga ito makapaniwala sa narinig niya.

Napamura ng pabulong at paulit ulit si Byul nang bigla niyang makilala kung sino ang nagmamay ari ng boses na 'yon.

"Hey, love..." Byul said as she turned around to face her girlfriend.

"A-anong.. ginagawa mo dito, love? Nauutal na tanong ni Byul sakanya.

Trying to act tough infront of Byul, humawak ito sa kanang braso niya na parang walang nangyari at hinila si Byul para magsimula nang maglakad palabas ng kumpanya.

"Uwi na tayo, love. Pabalik sa dating tayo. Walang iba, ikaw at ako lang." Ryujin smiled to hide the pain.

It was slowly consuming and eating her alive.

Byul broke her trust. The one who she trusted the most.

And there is no greater explanation for this.

Mismong kay Byul na nanggaling iyon. Sa sinabi niya. At hindi naman bingi si Ryujin para ipaulit pa kay Byul 'yon.

For the sake of their relationship, handa naman siyang magbulagbulagan dahil hindi niya pa kayang mawala ng tuluyan si Byul.

Byul suddenly changed the topic at nag patay malisya na lamang ito. "Hey, love. May pasok ka ngayon diba? Hindi mo naman ako kailangan pang sunduin dito." Byul said as the two finally left the company.

Bumaba naman ang isang kamay ni Ryujin sa pagkakahawak sa braso ni Byul at sinimulang hawakan ang kanang kamay nito. "Love, we'll make time for each other. We still have time. Kaya pang ayusin 'to, diba love? We'll get through this. I still believe in us." Byul was just looking at her, tumingin naman pabalik sakanya si Ryujin atsaka ngumiti.

Wearing the smile that Byul had gave her since day one. Ryujin is still hoping they would end up together.

And before Byul could even response,
the two were interrupted by a voice coming from behind.

"Byul." her voice alone started to create a tense atmosphere between the two.

Ryujin quickly goes infront of Byul to prevent her from turning around.

"Don't look back. Or else..." She paused, tears threatening to spill. She fought the urge not to broke into tears.

"Handa kang iwan ako para sakanya." Ryujin bit her lip, Byul looked her straight in the eye, she had a pity look on her face.

Byul began slowly turning her head and was caught off guard nang bigla itong yakapin ni Ryujin ng mahigpit.

"Byul, can we please pretend? Kahit magpanggap ka nalang. For the sake of our relationship. Please, fight for us. 'Cause I'm still not ready to lose this battle." she said as tears started falling from her eyes.
