Winter: What do I think of Shrapnel's scales being hard as diamonds?
Winter: I'll admit, it's a pretty neat trick of his. But, it can't be invincible against anything.
Shrapnel: I dunno, my scales saved me countless times, they are pretty indestructible.
Winter: Oh! OK, I know how it's played, show-up.
Shrapnel: I'm not showing off, it's just a fact--
Winter: A fact, you say? Well, it's also a fact that your scales ain't tougher than you think.
Shrapnel: You want to see if you're right?
Winter: Oh, I know I'm right.
Later:
Shrapnel: Winter, this is crazy!
Winter: What? You wanted to prove that your scales are tough.
Shrapnel: But, you're about to chop my talon off with an axe!
Winter: If you're telling the truth, then nothing will happen. Now, hold still.
*Winter swung the axe down before Shrapnel could protest, but the blade didn't went through the scales, instead splitting in half on impact*
Winter: Damn.
Shrapnel: Now, you believe me?
*suddenly, someone walked in*
Peril: What are you two doing?
Winter: ....not yet.
Winter: Peril, you see this IceWing?
Peril: Yeah?
Winter: Touch him.
Shrapnel: Huh?
Peril: What!? I'm not gonna do that!
Winter: C'mon! I just want to see something.
Peril: Fine, but don't blame me for the dead IceWing in your room.
*Peril reluctantly reached out, and touched Shrapnel. There was a wait, and nothing happened*
Peril: ...
Peril: *😀*
Shrapnel: Uh, why is she looking at me like--
*Peril tackles Shrapnel in a hug*
Shrapnel: What the--
Winter: Huh. Well, I'll be damned, guess he was telling the truth.
Shrapnel: Can someone please get this strange SkyWing off me?
Peril: :3
