Once we get back to the Slytherin common room, Snape immediately stops us.
"We are going to the Great Hall." He states, everyone is confused as he walks us to meet the rest of the students in the hall. I enter to see all the houses look confused, but the Gryffindor's look scared. I run over to Ron, Hermione, and Harry.
"Y/n! You're alright!!" They squeal happily.
"What happened?" I ask them.
"Sirius Blacks in the castle, he...he tried to get into the common room." Harry mutters and I gasp.
"Oh Harry!" I shout and hug him.
"The teachers and I need to conduct a thorough search of the castle. The prefects will be stationed at every entrance to the Great Hall, Head Boy and Girl will be in charge." Dumbledore waves his hands, making the long tables disappear and reveal sleeping bags. "Sleep well." He states as we all grab sleeping bags and put them next to each other. Suddenly everyone begins making rumors of how Sirius Black got into the castle. Then we drift off into a deep sleep.
The next few days are full of Sirius Black scares, Harry and I getting the worst of them all. Some come up to us and say he'll take me then finish off Harry. Although no one would've ever guessed what happens next.
I am sitting in the Great Hall with the Slytherins when Harry marches up to me.
"Really? You're telling us now that we are playing Hufflepuff?!" He yells. "We've been preparing for Slytherin for weeks! And your arm is not injured Malfoy. You just don't want to play in the bad weather" He says with disgust.
"Sorry Potter, better prepare to lose now." Draco taunts.
"Harry, we're sorry that this happened. Draco is hurt." I tell Harry and he scoffs with Ron approaching behind him.
"You really believe these slimy snakes?" Ron asks me in disbelief.
"Yes Ronald, I am one of them aren't I?" I snap back.
"Yeah but, you're not like them." He tells me.
"I'm not a Slytherin? I'm not resourceful, cunning, shrewd, ambitious, do I not have a strong sense of fraternity?" I fire back, I follow the Slytherins into our Defense Against the Dark Arts class, and much to our surprise, Professor Snape is teaching today.
"Professor Lupin is feeling a bit under the weather..." He begins and the rain begins to pour outside. "Turn to page 394." He says and we flip our book to the page.
"Werewolves?" Dean asks.
"We're not supposed to start this for weeks." Hermione answers.
"Now, which one of you can tell me the difference... between an Animagus and a werewolf? No one? How disappointing." He says as Hermione raises her hand the entire times
"Please, sir. An Animagus is a wizard who elects to turn into an animal. A werewolf has no choice. With each full moon, when he transforms, he no longer remembers who he is. He'd kill his best friend if he crossed his path. Furthermore, the werewolf only responds to the call of its own kind." Hermione explains and Malfoy leans over to me and howls like a werewolf causing me to laugh, as well as many others
"Thank you, Mr. Malfoy." Snape adds. " That's the second time... you've spoken out of turn, Miss Granger. Are you incapable of restraining yourself... or do you take pride in being an insufferable know-it-all?" Snape prides.
"He's got a point, you know." I whisper to Draco and he laughs back. I love Hermione to death, but it's true.
"As an antidote to your ignorance, and on my desk, by Monday morning... two rolls of parchment on the werewolf, with emphasis... on recognizing it." Snape explains.
"Sir, it's Quidditch tomorrow." Harry fights
"Then I suggest you take extra care, Mr. Potter." He answers. "Loss of limb will not excuse you. Page 394." He states. Draco shows me an animated drawing he drew of Harry getting struck by lightning.
"Draco!" I whisper, "get that out of here."
"Fine." He smirks and blows the paper, sending it over to Harry. Harry's face becomes grim and quickly turns to us. I try to give him an apologizing look but it doesn't help, I can tell the match is getting to him.
The match day finally arrives and I go stand with Ron and Hermione to watch it. The rain is unbearable but luckily magic protects us, but not the players. Gryffindor isn't doing that well, and they need Harry to catch the snitch but he can't see anything in this weather, especially with his poor eyesight. The match begins awfully. Each team is doing terrible in this weather, I'm glad I'm not playing. Suddenly Gryffindor is behind 50 points. I'm excited, no ones won a house cup in 2 years because of what's happened. This year will be the one, and I don't want Harry to win. They keep whirling around and the snitch is nowhere to be seen. Then Wood calls a timeout, Hermione quickly goes down to meet them and I follow. We see Harry really struggling to see out of his glasses.
"Here, give me your glasses." Hermione commands. She takes out her wand. "Impervious!" She spells and the glasses now wick away water.
"Hermione!" I say and she shrugs. "Didn't know the Gryffindor's could 'use any means to achieve their ends'." I say quoting the Slytherin saying. She looks embarrassed now. "Not so evil, are we?" I ask again and Harry goes back to join the team. We make it back up to the stands to watch the match. We see Harry, he seems to have found the location of the Snitch. Then suddenly things begin to get...cold. And happiness is sucked away from the air. Then I see Harry fall out of the sky. I take a gasp as Hermione grabs me.
"Arresto Momentum!" Dumbledore spells Harry so he doesn't fall to his death. I follow everyone to see Harry in the hospital wing.
"Harry!" Fred shouts as he begins to wake up.
"W-What happened?" He asks looking around. Hermione has been crying since it happened.
"You fell like 50 feet..." I tell him.
"No, the match, what happened?" Harry repeats himself.
"Diggory got the Snitch,"George tells him. "Just after you fell. He didn't realize what had happened. When he looked back and saw you on the ground, he tried to call it off. Wanted a rematch. But they won fair and square... even Wood admits it."
"Where is Wood?" Harry asks.
"Still in the showers," Fred explains. "We think he's trying to drown himself." I chuckle at the statement. Harry seems very frustrated by this news. "C'mon, Harry, you've never missed the Snitch before." Fred and George go into a fit about how Gryffindor could still possibly win.
"Oh come on you two, with me as a chaser, Slytherin will win the cup for sure." I tease, but they get angry.
"Come on, leave Harry to rest." Madam Pomfrey states. We all sadly exit the room
