By the time Abhi collected himself together slowly, it was almost sunrise time. Abhi had spent another night lost in guilt, thinking about how he had wronged his family.
As Abhi made his way to his room to begin his day, he heard a yelp from Riya's room which was right next to his. He ran into Riya's room thinking she had fallen off the bed, as she had a habit to do when she was waking up. But when Abhi entered Riya's room, he found her thrashing around in bed, mumbling something in her sleep. Abhi was quick to calm her, he shook her awake, and when she was awake she instantly hugged him.
"What happened, Princess? Did you have a bad dream?" Abhi asked as he cupped the back of his daughter's head, hugging her back. Riya nodded her head against his shoulder.
"What was it about?" Abhi asked pulling back from the hug so he could see Riya's face.
"I- I saw a kid, a girl in the basement, she was maybe 7 or 8, the basement was ver- very dark, sh- she was chained to the floor, and she was crying and asking for her mom and dad to come to save her. But then my dream changed and I saw you with a woman, I couldn't see her face, but you were leaning on her, I couldn't find out what happened to that kid. And then I saw another kid and a different woman fall off a cliff, while the kid was trying to save the woman." Riya explained shakingly, her explanation all over the place because she was scared.
However, Abhi burst out laughing at Riya's explanation.
"So let me get this straight, Princess. Your worst nightmare is seeing me with another woman. I promise you that you're the only girl in my life." Abhi said jokingly.
"Dad, this is serious. What about the kid I saw, what do you have to say about that?" Riya said frowning because her dad was not taking her seriously.
"I just have one question for you, my Princess. Did you perhaps watch a scary movie before going to sleep?" Abhi asked curiously, raising an eyebrow.
"No..." Riya said averting her gaze from Abhi, so he couldn't see her face. Abhi smiled knowingly.
"See, my baby there is nothing to worry about. It's just your overactive imagination going off the rails again." Abhi said patting Riya's head.
"But it just seemed so real." Riya said in a whiney voice, laying her head on Abhi's shoulder again.
"I know." Abhi said humoring Riya, laying a kiss on the top of her head, and smiling softly.
No matter what happened as long as Abhi had his princess next to him, he would always find the strength to keep going.

So what do you think? Was Riya's dream a sign of something? Or was it just a random dream?🤔And also I turned breaking stuff as Riya woke up to her falling off the bed lol 😆
