"Mr. Mehra, you are too much." Meera said with an amused smile as they were sitting in his cabin, he sitting on a chair behind his desk and Meera sitting in front of him.
"What? It's a good idea to call her back, you watch she'll come running back faster than the Lamborghini I will buy for her." Abhi said jokingly.
"So when she literally begged you for a Lamborghini for like an entire month, you didn't get it for her. But now that she's not bothering you about it, you want to get it. I think she was trying to use reverse psychology on you, and it's working." Meera said with a chuckle.
"You think? Princess knew exactly what she was doing, and it worked- but I was going to get it for her anyway so it doesn't matter. How about we go pick one out tomorrow?" Abhi asked with a shrug, pretending as if it wasn't Riya leaving for Mumbai that had given him the final push to buy a Lamborghini.
"Tomorrow isn't going to be possible, I have a press conference to attend, remember?" Meera asked with a slight frown, but then she smiled softly, shaking her head. "But Ah Mr. Mehra I feel like if one day Riya asks for it, you would buy the entire world for her."
"How can I not? When it was me who took so much away from her to begin with?" Abhi asked in a somber tone all of the sudden, his shoulders hunched as if weighted down with guilt.
"-Her mother's love, her twin sister. She doesn't show it, but I know it hurts her, especially after she got sick. Before every surgery, before every treatment, she would beg me for her Mumma. 'Dad, where is Mumma? You will bring her back won't you?' Or 'Dad you promise, that Mumma will be here when I open my eyes right? Doctor Uncle said she would be.' And every time I said yes, every time she was let down, maybe that's the reason why she hates her mother so much because I never got the courage to tell her that the reason for her suffering was her own father. But how could I-?" Abhi trailed off in a broken voice as a few tears fell from his eyes, remembering the past.
"Abhi-." Meera began to say laying a reassuring hand on top of his hand, but he instantly took his hand away, reaching for his phone.
"I think I should call her and see how she is." Abhi said with a small smile as he got up and exited the cabin.
"I always gave Riya a mother's love, I was there even when her actual mother wasn't, at every school event, at every birthday, at every hospital visit. But yet still, you don't see me as her mother, yet still, she doesn't give the position of her mother. It doesn't matter though, I don't need a title to prove my love for both of you, because one day even you will see me the way I see you." Meera mumbled to herself hopefully.

"Alia! Alia! Wait! Aaloo, listen to me! Princess!" Akash yelled as he followed after Alia, all through the house so that they were standing at the entrance door. And it was the last word that made Alia pause though she was still facing away from him, arms crossed over her chest."No, don't talk to me." Alia said annoyed as Akash tried to turn her around so he could look at her.
"God, you're still such a brat." Akash said jokingly, but at least Alia had turned around to glare at him.
"Fine." Akash said with a heavy sigh. "Don't you dare smile."
"Oh but I will." Alia said as her smile got wider because Akash had agreed to go back to Delhi with them.
"Brat." Akash said with a chuckle as he hugged Alia.
"See this is why Abhi bhai-." Akash began to say that this was why Abhi called both her and Riya princess because both of them knew how to emotionally blackmail people.
But when he trailed off, Alia only hugged him tighter, until they heard the click of a camera flash, separating to make a face at Rachna.
"What? It was a cute moment." Rachna said with a shrug as she held her phone sideways to take a picture. And after a short silence, all of them chuckled.
