Part 95- Of Love Stories, The Broken And The Developing

"Okay, Uncle I think we should go home now it's getting late, and before you refuse, don't forget that we have college tomorrow." Prachi said with a smile, as all of them were sitting at the dining table having dinner.

"Aww okay, if you say so, I'll call a driver to take you home, and now you don't refuse me on that." Abhi said with a smile, using Prachi's words on her, reluctantly reaching for his phone to call a driver, not wanting them to go.

"I'll take them back home, Chaacho." Aryan said quickly, way too happy at the idea of getting to spend more time with Shahana, causing Shahana to smile.

"Are you okay?" Prachi asked worriedly, as Riya who couldn't help but chuckle at Aryan's excitement, ended up choking on the water she was drinking.

"Yeah I'm okay, just went down the wrong way." Riya said giving both Aryan and Shahana a teasing smile. While Abhi watched the interaction between them in confusion. Then looking toward Alia and Purab who looked like they were trying to keep from laughing, and realized that he was definitely missing something.

"Aryan just let the driver take them, because you'll have to make two trips back and forth for no reason whatsoever." Purab said trying to keep from laughing because he knew exactly why Aryan wanted to go.

"But if you really want someone from home to drop them off, then Ranbir can take them on his way home, can't you Ranbir?" Alia asked she too had a hard time controlling her laughter.

"No!" Ranbir yelled abruptly, as he broke out of thought, trying to avoid looking at Prachi, making everyone look at him weirdly.

'One says no, the other says yes, what is happening?' Abhi thought to himself confused.

"Hehe. I meant no... I will not... go without Aryan because he is my best friend... and I need... company as I drive home." Ranbir said with an awkward chuckle, fumbling to come up with an excuse for his outburst, making Aryan smile victoriously.

'Yaar Aryan because of you even I got trapped. I'm over here trying to avoid Prachi and now because of you I have to drop her off at home.' Ranbir thought to himself regretfully.

"Why would you need company for a ten-minute drive?" Prachi asked confused, raising an eyebrow.

"Because car rides...get boring." Ranbir said not having a better excuse, confusing Prachi even more.

"Yeah he's right, isn't he Shahana?" Aryan asked looking to Shahana to back him up.

"Yeah absolutely." Shahana said with an awkward smile.

"Okay now come on let's go, or will we spend the whole night discussing this?" Aryan asked urgently, quickly getting up from the table, before anyone could say anything else.

"Son." Purab said in a blank voice, but in reality, he was trying so hard to not laugh as Aryan turned around to face him with a 'deer caught in headlights' look on his face.

"Yes, Dad?" Aryan asked nervously thinking that Purab was going to stop him from leaving.

"Drive safe, come back soon." Purab said with a smile making Aryan breathe a sigh of relief and nod.

And so the four of them left after wishing everyone else goodnight. Leaving behind Purab and Alia who had both covered their mouths so that no one else at the dining table could see that they were silently laughing. While Riya just looked at them with a raised eyebrow, and a small smile, wondering why they were acting so weird. And Abhi, well he just looked so very confused about everything that had just happened.

"Okay so-" Priyanka began to say as she was laying half on top of Rishi and half on the sofa in his embrace, having resumed their position from earlier, with Rishi gently running his fingers through her hair.
