Part 102- Of Business Trips And School Projects

When Drishti and Rakshit walked inside the office, everyone stood up in respect to Rakshit, giving both of them weird looks because they were drenched, gossiping amongst themselves in hushed whispers after Rakshit went inside his cabin, Drishti following behind him.

"Rakshit, what is this? What have you done to yourself?" Arpita who was waiting for Rakshit in his cabin asked worriedly, surprised by his condition. Getting up to stand in front of him.

"Oh- it was raining outside." Rakshit said not looking at Arpita knowing he would be in trouble.

"I know that but did you not have a car or an umbrella? How did this happen?" Arpita asked worriedly, gesturing to Rakshit's clothes.

"No..." Rakshit said trailing off mid-sentence.

"Rakshit seriously? Aren't you too old for this now?" Arpita asked in amused exasperation.

"Did you jump in a muddy puddle again? Like you used to do when you were a kid? And got your new clothes all dirty?" Arpita asked unbelievably, shaking her head, but with a soft smile.

"I did no such thing!" Rakshit yelled in his defense, semi-stomping his feet like a kid, making Drishti who was silently watching this interaction, chuckle, reminding both Arpita and Rakshit that she was there too.

Rakshit glared at her, instantly making her quiet down. But then Drishti looked at Arpita who also looked like she was trying to keep from laughing. And when Arpita and Drishti both looked at each other, it started a chain reaction and both of them burst out laughing at Rakshit's expense.

"Are you guys done?" Rakshit asked in a blank voice, arms crossed over his chest, a hint of a pout on his face.

"Okay, yes, I'm sorry, we won't laugh anymore, now you change your clothes before you catch a cold." Arpita said lovingly, but with a giggle, still having a hard time controlling her laughter.

"And you Drishti, you come with me, I'll lend you some of my clothes." Arpita said with a smile to which Drishti nodded, following behind Arpita as she exited the cabin.

"Muddy puddles?" Rakshit heard Drishti say with a chuckle before the cabin door could fully close.

"Oh yes-." Rakshit heard Arpita begin to say with a chuckle as the door shut, he no longer being able to hear their voices.

Rakshit stood there for a bit before shaking his head and rolling his eyes in annoyance and walking towards the bathroom.

"Ooo good save." Priyanka said with a small smile, as Riya finished telling her the story, both of them sitting together, class not having begun yet.

"Yeah, I know." Riya said gloating.

"How was your unexpected car ride with Auntie though?" Riya asked curiously.

"It was actually good. She's very cool." Priyanka said honestly, looking at Pragya who was preparing for class, with a soft smile.

"Wow, a car ride was all that it took? I should've lied sooner then." Riya said jokingly, genuinely happy about the change in Priyanka, wondering what could've happened in that car ride to make such a change happen.

"Shut up." Priyanka said jokingly, shaking her head.

But before Riya could say anything else Pragya began the lesson, so she had to remain silent.

And during the lesson both Aryan and Shahana were lost in an eye lock with each other, with dreamy smiles on their faces. While Ranbir was lost in a trance of looking at Prachi to confirm that she was indeed real. And Prachi, well she was too busy focusing on the lesson to notice Ranbir looking at her, though she did try to sneak glances at Ranbir to figure out what was going on with him.

"Aaloo, you, me, Mumbai, romantic getaway, how does that sound?" Purab asked jokingly as he entered Alia's cabin at the office, sitting on one of the chairs in front of her desk.

"Since when do we have romantic getaways?" Alia asked curiously with a raised eyebrow and a smile, looking up from the file that she was reading while sitting on a chair behind her desk.

"Hawh. Since always... After all, our business trips are in a sense, romantic getaways of work." Purab said jokingly.

"Ugh no, not another business trip. Didn't we just have one a month ago? I don't want to meet Singhania this soon again." Alia said in a whiney voice with a disgusted face.

"Eww, why? Why did have to remind me of Singhania? Just why?" Purab asked dramatically, looking more disgusted than Alia if that was even possible.

"But no, it's not a business trip where we have to attend a big event with all the other companies, we're just going finalize a set for the new talent show with Mr. Shergill, so thankfully no Singhania." Purab elaborated with a sigh of relief at the last part.

"Oh thank God, but when do we have to go?" Alia asked curiously.

"We leave tomorrow morning, it's a two-day trip." Purab elaborated with a smile.

"Excuse me, tomorrow? Why are you just telling me this now? You know how much packing I have to do?" Alia asked exasperated.

"Hey don't blame me. I just found out today too. When someone called me from Mr. Shergill's office telling me that they found an amazing set for the show." Purab said in his defense.

"Plus I'll help you with the packing, but honestly that's your fault because you take ten bags with you even for two days, it's only a trip, we aren't permanently moving there." Purab said with a teasing smile.

"Everything that is in those bags is important, I need all of them." Alia said in her defense.

"Yeah yeah, just get ready for the most romantic getaway of your life." Purab said jokingly to mess with Alia.

"Oh no, don't insult it by calling it a romantic getaway, because you don't know what any of those things mean." Alia said with a teasing smile, getting back at Purab.

"Hawh. What's that supposed to mean? I can be very romantic." Purab said jokingly in his defense.

"And I can be an astronaut." Alia said sarcastically.

"Oye, I can be very romantic, okay? You watch during that Mumbai trip, like the rain outside, there will a rain of love on you." Purab said jokingly.

"No thank you, I have no interest in getting pneumonia." Alia said jokingly with a chuckle.

"Hey-!" Purab began to say, the two of them enjoying each other's company.

"Okay so I'm assigning you all a new project, that's due in two days." Pragya said as she wrapped up her lesson, the bell for the next period about to ring in a few minutes.

"This time, not me, but you teach the class." Pragya said as she passed around copies of a paper.

"What I gave you is a list of the topics you haven't learned yet, but will learn throughout the year, pick one of those topics and teach it to your class on Wednesday, you can do it however you want, PowerPoint, posters, or just the regular chalkboard, you'll be graded on how well you understand the topic, and how well you teach to others, each of you will have 15 minutes to present, and you are required to work in groups of two people. You have the rest of the period to choose partners and decide what you want to do." Pragya said as she finished handing out the copies, sitting back down on the teacher's desk, as everyone rushed towards their friends to partner up with them.

"Shahana we should partner up it-." Prachi began to say.

"Shahana, can we work together on this project?" Said someone else, interrupting Prachi mid-sentence.

And when both of them looked up to see who had said that, both Prachi and Shahana were left shocked when they saw.........
