It all happened so fast but felt like ages. Pragya felt as though everything was happening in slow motion, but in reality, Pragya and Abhi had reached the City Hospital in a matter of minutes.
The sound of the phone hitting the floor had woken Abhi, he had looked around sleepily when his eyes landed on a pale-faced Pragya who looked like she had just lost her entire world, he immediately knew something was very very wrong.
So Abhi stood in front of Pragya, grabbing both her arms in his hands, and asked her what was wrong.
"A- a call, my daugh-, ou- daugh-, our daughter, Cit-, City Hospital, acci-, accident." Pragya had shakingly told Abhi barely forcing the words out of her mouth, tears streaming down her face.
Abhi had stood frozen, eyes wide open in shock. Abhi then looked down at the floor and saw his phone, realizing which daughter Pragya was talking about. He had sprinted out of the house, and in the heat of the moment, Pragya had chased behind him.
Getting to the City Hospital was a haze for both Abhi and Pragya, they caught a cab and told the driver to drive as fast as he could. Both Abhi and Pragya were consumed with worry for their daughter during the whole cab ride.
Abhi was worried that something had happened to his princess, his reason for living after he had lost Kaira and Pragya had left him taking their other daughter with her.
Pragya too was worried about her baby, the daughter she had too little time with before Abhi took her away from her. And in her worry, she didn't realize that this would be the first time in 21 years that she would meet her youngest daughter.
Once they reached City Hospital they hastily went inside and to the reception desk.
"A call came from this Hospital about my daugh- daughter. Tell me where my daughter is." Abhi said almost yelling at the receptionist because of his worry for Riya.
"Room 203." The receptionist replied instantly because she was the one who made the call.
So, now as Pragya stood outside her youngest daughter's hospital room, with Abhi already inside, it finally occurred to her that this was the first time she would meet her youngest daughter. And she did not know how to react.
